LS am I scrawny? (pics)

Recommended Posts

Not really true. It depends on the girl

Iris29 says that she doesn't like any bigger than David Beckham...David Beckham has absolutely no muscle at all. My wrists are bigger than his biceps

Generally speaking, athletic/toned girls are the only ones with a clear preference for beefy guys

Beckham is what I would call fit & toned. He is not muscular but he is reasonable shape (good enough for modelling underwear) and hardly has spagetti arms.

Beefy guys are popular across the board with women, not just atheletic women. At one coy I work 3/4 of the petite type women have solid build beefy guys for bf/husbands.

Wait, you're trolling right?

Beckham looks absolutely awful - small arms with a wide waist

Really? Not even this? - http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mnYCXnAET6k/T_ho2R-1VmI/AAAAAAAAALY/mwTxASgWui0/s1600/THE+ROCK21_CLOSE+UP.jpg

What is your bodytype if you don't mind me asking? Are you thin, average, athletic, curvy or overweight?

that's not too big either, that's not to say the bigger the better but I just like big what can I say.:p Everybody I know would use curvy to describe me, men and women.

I don't EVER remember the rock being that swoll??

It's probably the picture. I don't think he's that big either. I like the guy though, his personality too.

Beckham's not quite in the shape he was in back in his Adidas era, but he's no noodle man. As a soccer player, he has always been pretty fit and well toned. There are much fitter (Cristiano Ronaldo comes to mind in terms of athleticism), but Beckham holds his own. And women still like him, and they would indeed call him fit and toned, whether you agree with it or not.

Well, I meant to say athletic/toned and curvy girls tend to prefer beefy guys

That makes sense. I'm guessing you have a very feminine figure and you like guys with a very masculine physique

I don't EVER remember the rock being that swoll??

He was actually shooting a movie with Mark Wallberg where they play bodybuilders and they told him to get as big as possible

He looks f*cking awesome. Makes me want to juice so I can get that big, but I'm only 5'10

His poster was on my room's walls when I was a kid along with a bunch of other soccer players, I loved him.

Nah, the Rock was always swollen, but not like that - and he got a lot leaner in the mid 2000s, so to see him so huge is funny :lmao:.

I'd like to get a similar physique, but not insanely bulky.

:lmao: Who didn't? The only time I remember anyone hating him was in 98-99 after France won the world cup.

Only thing I didn't like about him was that he played for our rivals.

Yeah he was always swoll but he's always had a great natural looking build (I'm sure he lifted) and in that pic he's way bigger like gym roid head or something. Doesn't look to good in that one IMO.

No he's been getting huge for his return to pro wrestling/action movies + the movie with Mark W. about bodybuilders

He's awesome. One of the coolest and nicest celebrities in Hollywood

Nup. I think you are benchmarking him the guys in 'muscular development' magazine. Compared to the Rock he's a pipsqueek, but so are 95% of guys. I'm not saying he's musular but he is not scrawny and is good enough to get a gig modelling underwear brands, and take him to the top at competitive sport.

Ohhhhh!

5'10" is a good height, eye level or better with most men!

Yeah, but like dude said, it's probably for a movie.

Sometimes seeing The Rock in his younger days at WWE makes me think of all the years I've wasted my physique doing nothing with it. I've had the perfect natural build and literally done nothing with it, so I've got a lot of catching up to do . I'm already at the right weight (and height) so all I need is to solidify my nutrition and tone up and get stronger. I would like to be athletic also, but more because I feel I may need to be for some reason :lmao:.....

yeah I saw his interview and loved him. So calm, down to earth and charming. He is definitely not a meathead.

I think even in his early days on wrestling everyone could see that he was a character. I think that he is an example of what being a mutlidynamic personality can do for you.

I agree, certainly no meathead.

I benched 250 when I was 16/17 and haven't come close since. The thing that discourages me is that I don't have a lot of natural strength so even if I lift and get stronger/bigger I'll lose my gains FAST and I mean fast.

I think he's primarily famous because of his face. I think his physique looks really ugly because he has naturally skinny arms and a wide waist

For a skinny build, somebody like Brad Pitt in fight club is a much better choice IMO

Yep. I've talked to people who have met him in real life and they all say he's like that, not a bad bone in his body

As far as The Rock goes, he is likely bulked up for the movie. From the look of that pic, he is cycling creatine and is retaining water. Hence, he looks bulky. Once he stops the creatine, he will likely lose 10-15 lbs because of that and look at more defined/leaner. He was actually his biggest playing college football (~300 lbs) and has slowly dropped to around 220 lbs since doing movies. Though, he bulks up for action roles.

As for the OP's question, you seem average. To me, that is scrawny. However, I am pretty much the same size as Ninjapajamas and fit. I walk around at 6'1" and 215-220 lbs. If I get lean, I am about the size of a light heavy weight fighter (200-205 lbs). Not quite The Rock, but he wouldn't make me look tiny either.

Natural strength will probably come from foods and functional bodyweight exercises, but I'm not a geneticist so it might be something to do with that, I don't know. Besides, I'm dyspraxic so I have low muscle stamina, but I plan to not let that stop me........I just have to make a proper start :o.

Rock on creatine?

Wait, you're serious? Rock is on a whole lot of steroids. He's got 21 inch arms in that pic, you can't get anywhere near that big naturally

I don't know how true that is, but there you go with that "can't" talk again . How do you know you "can't" get that big normally?
