hurting so bad
What is a rebound relationship? How long do they usually last? What are the chances of "falling in true love" with a rebound relationship or is it usually over after the "euphoric stage"?

What are the chances of "falling in true love" with a rebound relationship or is it usually over after the "euphoric stage"? It's possible to fall in love with a rebound. One of my former co-workers married her rebound guy a few months after they met and they've been married for around 10 or 15 years now I guess and they are still happy. I am my husbands rebound girl sort of. I was the first one he dated after he and his former fiancee broke up, but it was nearly a year after they split before he dated. That was over 20 years ago! The people that I know (myself included) who have had rebound relationships, usually they end after a few weeks when they have proven to themselves that its not the end of the world by losing their love; they can find someone else; they feel they are not worthless; and they know that there can be a future for them; and the sexual newness has worn off. Then they (I) take a look at their priorities in a relationship, what they want, what kind of person they are and what they can give, and then they (I) look at the rebound person and realize that they are not a good match.
