Strange Intuition and Synchronicity all in One Day

Yesterday, I kept thinking about how my last relationship ended, and while I will say it was a toxic relationship in which I was cheated on and lied to for years, I still ended up doing some things in the end that I regretted and have weighed heavily on my conscience for a while now (i.e. revenge cheating that I thought was justified at the time). I've carried this weight for over half a year now, and decided to write my ex a short and sweet apology for what I'd done, as a type of cleansing for us both. I have no ill will toward him, despite what he'd done to me. I don't lament over the past, as I am in a happy and healthy relationship now. I just felt like I needed to write that apology. While writing it, I also thought of my ex's mother quite a bit, who had given the relationship a lot of conflict for various reasons, but I also came to see the good in her and thought fondly of her as I wrote this email. Despite the problems we'd had, I honestly think her intentions were pure.

 

I felt a lot better after I sent the email, but a feeling stuck with me all day that I was going to receive some sort of sign from the universe that I'd done the right thing and it was all behind me now. Later yesterday evening, my boyfriend and I went to the supermarket to buy ingredients we needed to cook dinner. As I stood there looking at the produce with my boyfriend, my ex's mother walked by and looked at me and smiled calmly(from a distance). I wasn't shocked at seeing her, but became very quiet and my boyfriend inquired as to what was "wrong" and so I told him of my experience.

 

These kinds of things have happened to me for as long as I can remember. Has anyone else had any experiences with synchronicity or intuition?
