M30USA
Please read my story if you aren't already familiar: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/breaking-up-reconciliation-coping/separation-divorce/326981-separated-3-months-pending-divorce-my-story I scheduled my youngest son's baby dedication at the church where I live. She informed me less than 3 hours later at 11pm that she would be dedicating him at her church in less than 36 hours! I was like, what!? I gave her 3 weeks advance notice. She was either not planning on telling me (the father of the child) or she literally scheduled it right after I did because, God forbid, I have anything which would look good to the courts that I did. Anyway...I figured I'd be the better person and I just showed up at her church for the dedication. I literally just walked right up to her with my son and stood right next to her in front of the whole congregation. Just whispered, Good morning. I think she was kind of shocked. We didn't speak at all or look at each other but I could tell that she was kind of crying. My baby boy saw me and, in front of the whole congregation, yelled, DADA! It was funny. But I'm mostly wondering why STBXW would cry like that. Did I just catch her totally off guard or what? Did I spoil what she thought was her day without dad--even though I'm supposed to be the "head of the household" to the God she's dedicating him to?
