ihateslowjams
ok, I know this is going to sound dumb, but I gotta ask to see what I can do about it. Ive been a skinny guy my whole life. I started working out again, and starting taking hydrobuilder. Ive only been working out for 3 weeks (5-6 nights a week) and Ive gotten much more muscular and a bit bigger as well. Many people have been complementing me on my increase in body size, but I noticed my face got a little bit chubbier. I don't like the new chub on my face, but I love my new body... What is the cause of this? Mind you, I have no diet. Im just eating as much as I can because Ive never needed to worry about it before. I probably intake between 1500-2500 calories. I only have time to eat lunch and dinner (fairly big portions) and the hydrobuilder was meant to get closer to the recommended protein intake. Is this caused by the hydrobuilder? Im dehydrated and my body is retaining water mass? or my unreserved diet?

I'm a woman and I eat up to 2500 calories every day because I do various types of sports about 5 days a week. How did you notice the chubbiness by the way? It's quite hard to see something developing when you look at it every day

It's unlikely this would appear as "chub," however, unless you are overweight or genetically predisposed to having a very round face. p.s. 1500-2500 calories is quite a big range. And even the upper end is not a lot of calories if you are male and working out regularly.
Imported
Maybe your protein powder has creatine in it. That can cause water retention.
tman666
Why are you taking a protein shake anyway when you're only eating 1500-2000 calories? If you're trying to lose fat, I'd avoid anything but whole foods. If you're trying to bulk up, well, you're going to need a lot more than 2,000 calories anyway.
