nekoxchaos
I've been trying to practice lucid dreaming and try to remember as much of my dreams as I can. I was just thinking ... though this may seem far fetched .... that if we can communicate or dream of each other in dreams , me and my cousin were talking about it one time. Like do 2 people dream of each other or communicate in the "dream world" like me and my cousin experienced having dreams of seeing each other that night when we both just randomly started talking about our dreams. I also like to think that in our dreams, we can communicate with certain people just so we can move on or its a way of resolving some feeling or tension. Its just a thought
venusianx13
Well, we go into our subtle consciousness in our dreams (which is actually nothing less real than anything we experience during gross consciousness). I believe that communication with others can be achieved while dreaming...there are no confines to our consciousness, so we can "go anywhere" and connect with anyone during our dreaming times. I also like to believe that we can connect with the consciousnesses of those who have passed. I have heard stories of such things happening, and back when my grandmother died, I had a dream about her not long afterward, in which we conversed, and I awoke with the feeling that I truly had connected with "her". I wouldn't even know where to begin with trying to achieve this on command, though. I do know that meditation, once you have mastered it, can be carried into your dreaming to the point where your dreams are much more lucid. So, in short, meditation may be a place to start.
Radu
A device was invented recently that allows you to remember the dreams you had. I think by a few guys in NY, it should be around 100$. During deep sleep it flashes a couple of lights in your eyes, as cues that you are dreaming.
rainfall
I would like to think its possible to communicate with people after they have passed. I know after my sister died I had dreams about her where we talked about things, both how I was and how she was doing for. I still have these dreams on occasion where we "catch up" on how I have been. I'm honestly not sure if it was her or just my mind wanting it to be her, but I know that thinking it is her helps me during times when I really start to miss her.

Rainfall, there is absolutely no reason to believe it is anyone but your sister! There are no confines to our consciousness, and it carries on even after our body has died. In this way, we are all "immortal."
Author nekoxchaos
i agree with you venusian , I believe our physical form is merely a shell ... I mean without our energy our bodies are nothing ... also i have a question venusian , have you ever done lucid dreaming?
venusianx13
i agree with you venusian , I believe our physical form is merely a shell ... I mean without our energy our bodies are nothing ... also i have a question venusian , have you ever done lucid dreaming? Well, my dreams have always been extremely vivid, but I have never been able to lucidly dream in a controlled manner. I'd like to, I think that if I continue to get better at meditation, it may be possible for me to carry that control over into my dreaming mind. Since I was a little girl, though, I dreamed of places and experienced things I had never seen or experienced before, and days later, I'd find myself in those places, seeing those same things, experiencing those things I dreamed of. It still happens, but less frequently as I get older. Which, in some ways is better for me, because honestly, it scares me a little. Have you been able to achieve lucid dreaming, nekoxchaos (or anyone else)? If so, how, and what was it like?
KatZee
I'm really interested in lucid dreaming, I've had ONE in my life and I will always remember it. I actually within my dream said to myself, "I'm dreaming, I can do whatever the hell I want!" and I willed myself invisible. it was nuts. I started Googling the lucid dreaming/ dream remembering device that Radu mentioned and I found this: Amazon.com: 4 Oz (120 Ml) Calea Zacatechichi Tincture - Lucid Dream Inducer: Health & Personal Care I would be SUPER interested in trying this, and as to whether or not it really induces lucid dreaming, and if it does, one could be well on their way to finding out if people could communicate lucidly.
rainfall
I usually have at least one lucid dream a week. I always end up doing the same thing....flying. I remember the first one I ever had. I was around 5 or 6 and there were volcanoes outside my house. I decided it was to strange to be real, so I pinched myself to see if it hurt and since I didn't feel any pain I decided it was a dream. I've tried before to "make" my sister come talk to me when I was having a lucid dream but it didn't work. I wish I could figure out how to make myself have them more often because I think they are fascinating.
