Mixed signals

Hi.

 

I just read an article and found this phrase kinda interesting and true:

 

"Mixed signals don’t actually exist. Rather, they arise when there is a difference between what someone wants to happen, and what is actually happening."

 

Would love some of the men's insight on the above.

 

As for me, im still crushing on this guy about 2 months now. To be honest, the last week ive decided to give up, yet im still hanging in there for 4-5 days more for a reason i'll mention later on.

 

So, i love math, here's how it went:

 

- Staring,smiles,stare and pauses etc etc

- he's a barista, he gave me alot of free drinks and still does.

- Remebers every single convo we had

- Invited me over for a drink, insisted on driving me home. Accidentally invited him in, he refused, actually just didnt react at all. Awkward. I took it back.

- Made some joke about coming over to my workplace, i said yes come, he never did.

- I gave him a present for my birthday (just a thing we do in my country, giving treats on bd's) After that he acted like a happy 5 year old who got a 5 foot talking robot for christmas.

- Randomly offered me another ride home without making any other move.

- Then he started acting weird. Smiles are still there but rare, he seems frustrated and confused.

 

Note: Since we had a drink together, 1 month has passed. All of the flirting has been done while he's working, so i guess part of the frustration could be due to work. He works two jobs. I found out that he may be recently single, so maybe they just got back together again or he's just confused?

Also, im having a friend visiting the last couple of weeks and we are together all day, could this + his busy scedhuele make him hesitate to make a move?

The reason i decided to give it 4-5 more days is cause thats when my friend will leave, just in case thats what is holding him back. If not, im gonna move on.

 

So , what do you think? Are these mixed signals? Should i wait it out a week more?
