Okay, my boyfriend and I will be together 5 years this fall. I am 20, he is 23. I am completely happy with him. I know that I want to marry him one day...

But I don't know if that one day is EVER going to get here.

I am completely understanding that we are young, at the moment, but I am starting to get a little frustrated. I believe that we are at the point were we should at least be moving toward living together. We have no big compatibility issues, we are generally alike and complacent about most things, and are able to work through those things we butt heads about.

We both live with our parents, and occasionally he will stay over.

He is in his last year of college (Master's), and I am in my last year of my Associate's degree. I am undecided about continuing my education or not.

I would like to get some advice for us.. I think some people will tell me that I should wait until he finishs his degree, and I will before I start really bringing it up, but I have reason to suspect he's not going to!

I have no problem being engaged for a few years, I would just like something a little more committed than we are now.

I will second the fact that you are young to get married. I bet your boyfriend isnt in the realm of considering marriage at this point in time. He was only 18 when you started dating. Obviously the guy cares about you or he wouldnt have stayed with you this long.

I think that you should just give the idea of engagement/marriage a rest for now. At least until he finishes grad school. Engagement rings and even apartments are expensive. I was broke during grad school, i

Sure your boyfriend isny financially stable enough to afford any of this. Wait until he is done with school. If u bring it up now then he will most likely give you the same answer i did.

You have all the commitment that is appropriate at your age. Please don't rush life. It's a wonderful thing. Savor your youth. You have your whole life to grow up and play house.
