She likes to tan too much

Recommended Posts

I love to tan and sometimes over do it but my GF is worse. She seems to compete with her friend on who gets the nicest tan. She is blond with Northern European, Spanish mix. So she tans well but her GF is Latino, dark hair and can get a tan so so easy.

She is 39 while her buddy is 40 but of course she is getting some winkles while her GF skin is nearly perfect. Both right now have dark tans on their legs which looks fantastic but my GF has got to protect her face. They love to wear nice clothes short skirts, shorts etc so they get a lot of attention. My GF got pretty ripped calves and developed thighs and her friend has very toned legs too. So if they wear high heels you can imagine the attention they receive. At times can be too obvious with some dudes.

Anyways, they feel good about how they look and should but I feel it will catch up to her with all this tanning. She used to tan for bodybuilding and figure modeling too. Its like an addition. I throw a towel on her face when she tans but she does not keep it on long. She does look after her skin with all that expensive lotions, oils whatever but she is not using more then 30 block on her face. I hate being a nag. The winkles are not at a point where they are detracting from her looks but up close with out make up I see the start of this damage. She believes these products are making a difference.

I guess their is nothing I can do about this. I know how their looks is important too both of them. It is a inner pride, helps her confidence and it contributes greatly to how she feels on a day to day bases. I think it is the impetus of her smile. I don't want her to lose this. I worry how will that affect her 20 years from now.

It won't take 20 years to effect her. The skin damage from earlier years of tanning becomes magnified between 45 and 55. Big time. I've seen friends who tan at 40 and look great , look like hags not 5 years later. Have her look at pictures of 45 to 55 year old tanners compared to those who don't.
