BetheButterfly
To American Christians... "We will never forget" the terrible tragedy that happened on 9/11. Let's also remember and never forget God's amazing love through Jesus (Luke 6:27-38, John 3:16). May God comfort and help those who have lost loved ones everywhere in the world by horrible terrorist acts, wars, diseases, and natural tragedies. May we enjoy each moment with our loved ones and live life to the fullest! May our lives be dedicated to helping others, loving others, doing good to others, no matter the differences in nationality, belief, ethnicity, lifestyle, social status, or gender. May we be a light of God's love, not a bearer of revenge and hate, no matter what happens in life. To those who lost loved ones on 9/11 as well as after 9/11, as a fellow American, I am so sorry for your loss and saddened that this horrible attack happened. May the USA and the families of the lost loved ones heal from this terrible injustice. Speaking for some Christians, we pray as well for the people of Afghanistan and Iraq. They also suffered the loss of their loved ones: men, women, and children who happened to live there till they were killed. Prayer for the American soldiers who died fighting in these countries, as well as those who are injured psychologically, physically, and/or emotionally are being offered up to God. We are also praying for the protection of the American soldiers in other countries, as well as for the protection of the USA from further attacks. To any veterans who I have offended for my pacifism, I'm sorry but it is true that killing other people hurts people. Again to Christian Americans, may God help us to love our enemies, like Jesus commanded (Matthew 5, Luke 6.) May the cycle of hatred and revenge not snowball us. Rather, may we help bring education and kindness to people who do not experience them and who have experienced hardship and cruelty. Instead of war, may we bring the only thing that can end the cycle of hatred and revenge: love Edited September 11, 2012 by BetheButterfly
soccerrprp
Well said BetheButterfly...have a natural suspicion for the American brand of Christianity with the rampant hypocrisy that prevails within it, but your words are welcome and suitable for the times (all times, actually).
