Pacman
I'm a 25 year old male. Last week I had to move back to the parents house. Why you may ask? Well - I am prereq classes for med school. 14 credit hours. Organic chem, physics and Biology. I used to have a full time job but with my schedule I'll have to go down to part time working 2 days a week. My income monthly will be $1000 with taxes taken out. With apartments, car payments, insurance. I'll be left with $250 a month. I am currently in a bulking phase so I have to eat a lot of clean (expensive) food. Whey protein cost $40 a tub which lasts 2 weeks. Basically each month will be a VERY tight budget and I don't know if I can budget it will enough. I decided to move back to the parents house and feel like such a loser. Anyone else have to go through this?
tman666
Wait, you're bulking and you're worried about clean eating? Wut? And why are you chugging that much whey protein? Are you spending $40 for a 5 lb tub or a 2 lb tub? I don't think that having to move back in with your rents necessarily makes you a loser, but I think you can probably save yourself a few bucks by modifying your diet and rethinking your priorities...
Lobouspo
You're not a loser dude, sounds like you are just trying to get your feet on the ground and get a little bit ahead. The prior post makes a good point though. If living at home bothers you, nix the special diet to cut costs so you can get your own place eventually.
ImperfectionisBeauty
I don't think you are, I'm 21 and live at home, I am graduating in May and will be 22 and still at home and I intend on staying at home for a year while I work and save money for law school, then if I go to school close to home I am certainly not living on campus for an extra 4,000 dollars haha. So I guess I would be a loser too huh? You're fine.
Balzac
So basically 14 credit hours, unwilling to assume education debt? It's temporary, you can possibly cut the time short. MCAT not in the bag yet? You'll be busy, med school is all about delayed gratification. So NOT a loser.

You've got the world by the short hairs and bunching them up!! I only WISH I had your problems. These are years for you to remember, how you became the 40 year old you're going to be some day. You've got it made! I'm sure your parents are proud of you. If they're not, they need their butts kicked! You've got it made man!! Enjoy your life!!!
BloomManifesto
No man, you're not a loser. At 25 there's nothing wrong with having to move back in with your parents and you're becoming a doctor. There's worse things in life than living with your parents and trying to be healthy. Good luck man, stop beating yourself up. ~ Bloom
Author Pacman
So basically 14 credit hours, unwilling to assume education debt? It's temporary, you can possibly cut the time short. MCAT not in the bag yet? You'll be busy, med school is all about delayed gratification. So NOT a loser. I already paid for my tuition and classes in full for this semester I already paid of my debt for my bachelors degree. I don't even wanna owe money again! Except for car payments. MCAT is not in the bag yet, I will be taking it spring 2013. Just waiting for the schedule to come out. (Without reading even one post) NO!! You are not a loser!! Quitcher whining!! Thank you for the kind words All my friends are out of the parents house with their degrees in business and all making so much $. I guess I felt a little inferior to them at the time of the post that's all. Wait, you're bulking and you're worried about clean eating? Wut? And why are you chugging that much whey protein? Yes, I am eating clean but getting in 2900 calories. Although I do have occasional cheat meals. And because I'm in class for 8 hours every other day with 10mins break I have no time to eat a full meal and I have to make 2 shakes with fruits.
Mr Scorpio
These days, living with your folks at age 25 does not make you a loser. Especially with med-school on deck. If it makes you feel better, I'm 33, make less per month than you do, and the only reason I dont live with my disabled father is because I get dirt cheap rent where I'm living now. Sooner or later though, I'll have to move back home to support him. So you see, it could be worse!
NailBiter
I'm 24, unemployed for the past 2 months, never moved away from home, never went to college, haven't had sex in years. You're not the loser. Edited September 17, 2012 by NailBiter
