Rosh Hashanah - "the birthday of the world"

Hello :)

I love studying about other beliefs. Because my belief (Christianity) is rooted in Judaism, since Jesus is Jewish and Christians (including me) believe him to be the fulfillment of the Messianic prophecies, I love learning about Judaism! It helps me understand a lot!

Tomorrow night Rosh Hashanah begins!!!

It is so interesting! I am learning about it from my Jewish friends and from my own studies.

I decided on the title of this thread after reading the following:

"Rosh HaShanah literally means “Head of the Year” in Hebrew. It falls in the month of Tishrei, which is the seventh month on the Hebrew calendar. The reason for this is because the Hebrew calendar begins with the month of Nissan (when it's believed the Jews were freed from slavery in Egypt) but the month of Tishrei is believed to be the month in which God created the world. Hence, another way to think about Rosh HaShanah is as the birthday of the world." - Rosh HaShanah - What Is Rosh HaShanah

If you are interested, what have you learned about this cool holiday?

If you celebrate Rosh Hashanah, may you have a wonderful New Year and may G-d greatly bless you!!! :)

For all people, no matter their beliefs or thoughts, may we live in peace and mutual respect with each other, and take care of others, the animals, and the beautiful earth!
