ironicAlly
Introduction to a problem... Revelent facts: I'm an 26 year old woman, an introvert, balancing the thin line between pretty and plain, an engineer. Personality-wise, I possess very little strictly feminine traits, being mostly unemotional, sarcastic, and decidedly not touchy-feely sort of person. Sounds off puting? 'Course it does, but I'm also helpfull, rather clever, and witty. That being said, it was a great shock to me, when 2 years ago I finally found myself a guy who actually liked me for who I was. We met at dating site, but he suggested, that instead of having dates, we should meet casually, just to get to know each other. So we did. An we still do... We go to movies, grab a bite together, play table tennis, board games, hell, we even cook together, fix furniture and do the shopping together. Not too often, mind you, we see each other once or twice a month - we live about 40 kilometers apart. He always insists to pay for food and other stuff (although I not always agree), and buys me gifts - not only for birthday- for no reason whatsoever. (I reciprocate, on slightly smaller scale). He remembers every blasted thing I told him about myself and is riddicously pleased by every small thing i do for him. ...and the problem itself But still - after two years- I have no bloody idea why we didn't end up in bed! My guess is, either he is as socially and romantically awkward as myself (I can design steel warehouse, but designing romantic situation is beyond me), or he simply put me in the friend zone 'cause I'm not attractive enough/ not his type/etc... Any ideas? Does this look as if I were in the friend zone? If so, do you think getting out of it is doable, in my case? I am considering if the whole "getting out" of the friend zone thing isn't going to simply ruin the comfortable status quo. So, what I am looking for is mostly feedback from any other women who managed to transform their long-time friendships into something more (friends with benefits/relationship?) Are there any? Feedback greatly appreciated! P.S. As you probably noticed (awkward phrasing/spelling, etc) English is not my first language, but I hope that my message was understendable nevertheless. Author ironicAlly
I don't even own one, but thanks for the idea. I work on the construction site, co-own a farm, and carpentry is my favourite hobby. Do I sound as miniskirt sort of girl? (Nope, I don't sound as girl at all, maybe that is the problem ) BTW, I did try wearing a skirt once. Not too short, but still. He said something about me looked different, than proceeded to talk about crime fiction.
