phasmif
So I've been talking to a man online for six months - we have a lot of friends in common and got to know each other that way. He is in his fifties and I my late twenties. He is seperated from his wife and I from my partner. We both have two children.. His are grown up. Recently conversation has gotten close.. He gave me an expensive (practical) present he knew woulf help me out and our conversation is ofteits n sexual but banterish. He can be flirtty but usually throwaway. Last few weeks we've talked hours evwry night til we both sleep and it has become personal. He sends voice messages through the day BUT still not sure hes interested. We live 250 miles apart. Not sure how to take it.
NoMagicBullet
I suspect he's just enjoying the flirting. It's possible he's testing the waters of your interest without making a definitive move, and I can see a few very valid reasons for him to do this: he's much older than you, the distance is pretty significant, and you're both still married. Forget for a moment about trying to figure out what he wants -- what do you want? Do you want to pursue something with this man in the future? If so, you'll need to make the first move. It would be best to be upfront with your intentions, whatever they are because given the conditions, it doesn't sound very conducive to a close, long-term relationship of any sort, and both of you need to clearly be on the same page if you are going to do more than just flirt long-distance.
