Yes. I',m 5'8" and have dated men my height, shorter, taller, and a lot taller.

My brother is getting married Saturday to a woman that is just about his height. With heels, she is taller than him.

I was slightly taller than my ex bf with my heels since (he was only 1/2 inch taller.... I'm 5'7).

Yes. Most of the men I've dated have only been 1-2" taller than me, and some have even been shorter.

is that you in your avi?

I'm 5'10", and previously dated a man who would have possibly been 5'8" while standing on his tiptoes. I wore heels around him regularly and neither of us gave a damn. I've also run into plenty of guys shorter than me who were attracted to my height (or more likely the leg-span).

Longtime boyfriend is two inches taller than me, but I'm fine with a shorter guy as long as he has a leaner body type.

Curious to hear opinions.

Some won't because they want to wear 6 inch heels but don't want to tower over him. Personally I feel any heel is bad for your feet.

Odd thing is I think tall girls are more likely to say yes. I can see a 5'4 girl saying no more than I could see a 5'9 girl saying no. Personally I am 5'8 and I have only dated one guy who was more than 3in taller than I am. Most have been a couple inches taller, one was the same height. Not a problem.

I've noticed this as well. I have a friend who's around 5'2" and, back when I was dating my ex(who was 5'9-5'10 ish) , she actually had the audacity to tell me that she would find him attractive if he were taller.

Nevermind that she was dating a morbidly obese jerk at the time.

In such threads you get a lot of women to claim they have dated so and so yet they are no longer with so and so. I would pay attention only to those who have been in committed relationships for double digit years who are in your real life that you can actually confirm. Use that to determine where the trend is. I have heard years ago that the average height difference between a man and a woman in a relationship is 6-7" but averages can be deceiving.

Yes of course man, I've seen a ton of shorter guys with girls, I think it only becomes an issue when the woman is a whole lot taller than the guy.

It happens on the height LS threads all the time! It's bizarre. I have always just figured the girls are insecure about their own heights, so they don't want a "short" guy cause then they are the "short couple" or something.

My longest R was with a guy who was the same height as me (okay well he was 5'9 and I am 5'8).

I wear heels A LOT, they are usually 4in heels, making me 6 feet!! I don't need a guy to be "taller than me in my heels". I mean fact is a guy who is just an inch taller than me (so, a 5'9 guy) will probably be 5'10 in whatever shoes HE is wearing and honestly 2 inches when you are standing around, socializing, whatever....who would notice?

Most people notice particularly women. Women obsess over details.

No one ever said anything to me about it. Perhaps they were quietly judging. Oh well, that's their issue. If another woman is taking issue or notice of it, I'd probably assume they are the "I want my man to be 6 feet tall so I can feel petite" kinda gal, and I feel kinda sorry for them tbh. If a guy noticed, I'd assume he's jealous that my man has me and he doesn't ;)

I'll answer this thread's question with a question: how many women are 6'3"?

Posted

I'm married to one. And, yes, I dated him, too. Just to be on topic.

So the, if a 5'4 woman would have a problem with a 5'7 man because they typically want 6 feet, then what would the best option for a 5'7 man be GENERALLY.

I don't really know. Just generally don't find them attractive. They seem too foreign for me.
