The pocket on his ass. It tells me if he has a fat wallet.

That's were i'm going wrong! Most of the time my wallets in the front pocket hurts my back to sit down with it in the back.....

Whether or not he looks like a My Little Pony. (Insert here a joke about horns. I am too much of a prude to do it myself).

Seriously, I don't know what I notice first, other than style. I like a cross between posh-casual. I like clothes that kind of cling to a man, in a way that accentuates his body. (Nothing sexier than just the right grey t-shirt). I only notice shoes if they don't match the rest of the style.

I honestly don't know  - I suppose I am a bit of a sucker for a nice, well-fitted shirt. I also like a rough look on the shirt - slightly low-buttoned (though not excessively) without a tie, sleeves perhaps rolled up a bit. Something like http://www.fashionstylestrend.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/1306001420-96.jpg . Lots of guys seem to like wearing huge, baggy shirts - I'm well aware how those are more comfy, but it really doesn't look as good as a fitted one. Just my opinion - I go wild for the bf when he wears something like the above.

If you're going to campus, most people do tend to dress very casually and simply, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Wearing a dress shirt and slacks and shiny black shoes to campus would most likely garner you the wrong sort of attention, IMO. Save the dressing up for when you go for dates or dinners/events.

Unless your idea of 'normal' is a XXXL cartoon tee and shorts that look like boxers that you sleep in - in that case, I agree that it might benefit you to try a 'nicer-than-normal' look like jeans and a fitted tee/jersey/whatever. ;)

Ah i'm good there, I can't find a shirt that isn't tight in the shoulders or else it gets stupidly big in the stomach area.

What about short sleeve though? Long sleeve is so uncomfortable.....

An Amex Black card does not take up much space. And who carries much money anymore other than chump change.

Long sleeves rolled up. Women seem to really like forearms and strangely long sleeves rolled makes them like it even more.

You like women with really nice legs right? How about when they wear fishnet stockings? Think its kinda like that.

Yes legs are good, never had one wear fishnet actually. I dig skirts though.

Rolled up that sucks. I don't even own a nice long sleeve shirt that fits anymore lol.

So 'overall appearance' eh? I like that.

The only time I look at a man's shoes is on the golf course.

I'm an ass woman, so I usually notice jeans first. I don't like them if they are too baggy in the butt, usually a result of wearing them too low.

I also love baseball caps on guys so if he's wearing one, the next thing I will notice is what the cap says on it. I like hooded sweatshirts on guys too, and will notice what they say. Bonus points for either if they have sports-related logos on them.

In shorts weather, I do notice socks. I don't like white socks pulled way up with shorts.

But mostly I just make sure his clothes will look good crumpled up on my bedroom floor in the morning. :)

Just my personal opinion, nothing more - short sleeved shirts are weird for men. They're like a casual tee trying to become a formal shirt and failing miserably somewhere in between. :lmao: If a guy hates long-sleeved formal shirts, then he'd be better off with a casual short-sleeved tee or polo rather than attempting a short-sleeved shirt, IMO. But clearly not everyone shares my opinion, since the short-sleeved shirt fashion for men is alive and well...

It's curious that you find long-sleeved shirts so abhorrent, though. Are you in a career line that'll never require them? Cause most white-collar jobs and even some blue-collar ones do.

Y'know... you're right. It IS kinda analogous. I'd never thought about it that way.

Yea I work in construction I wear whatever I feel like pretty much. I do got a short sleeve polo, I just didn't see what the difference was really? I was planning to go with that anyway. I am pretty much a t-shirt and jeans guy. I don't mind long sleeve, I just can't find ones that fit well. My shoulders are so broad and long arms.

Oh, well, if that's your style, I'll say go for whatever makes you feel comfortable. :) Everyone's preferences would be different, and I'm sure there are women out there that dig yours.

Try an athletic cut, or buy a shirt that fits well in the shoulders and arms, and have it tailored to fit through the torso.

Short-sleeved dress shirts are an abomination. Short-sleeved buttondowns are acceptable at BBQs and the beach, but that's pretty much it.

Mens' clothing is going through a very odd phase right now. When I try on shirts in department stores or mass retailers, a lot of the time I can't even fit my arm through the sleeve! I tried on a jacket the other day and had the same problem -- my arms were squeezed like sausages and I couldn't even bend them. And often I can't even get the buttons closed across the chest.

Apparently men are supposed to be stick-boys according to the fashion industry. Men are V-shaped, not stick-shaped, dammit! Hopefully, this trend fades away very soon.

I blame it on the hipsters, almost all of them around here are like that.

I don't know what style you like, where you shop or how much you get in to fashion, but you can difinently find clothing in many different cuts ranging from what you discribed to fitting guys that workout a lot. I'm not rich enough to have a full wardrobe of the really high dollar designer house and mostly just go with stuff from Kenneth Cole, CK, Armani exchange and others.

Well. I'm a man, but I definitely notice if a man is dressed cool (not necessarily well) or horrible.

I tend to not notice the in betweens.

If I see a guy with a cool style that looks appropriate for my age (mid 30s), I'll try and ape it.

One of my friends dresses really well. He's tall and slim, so sports jacket separates look good on him. I only do that sparingly cause it doesn't look great on me.

Yea, that's me too. Mid shelf.

Club Monaco, DKNY, K Cole, and some vintage style clothes thrown in. I think it's funny when people think DKNY and Kenneth Cole are high end.

Imported, you so nailed this for me.

That's true for me. I dig forearms and the rolled up sleeves look kind of commands a guy that is ready to get to work. Whether it be a long sleeve work shirt or a button down one.

I found that I have been attracted to guys that were wearing suits and other guys who where clearly just coming off their blue collar job.

I think the very first thing that I notice is how everything fits. There's nothing more eye catching than a man wearing clothes that enhance the good. And on the flip side a guy wearing clothes way too small or big just looks ridiculous.

Next the overall style. I don't really have a set style that I like but it's nice to see a guy's point of view.

Lastly shoes, not any specific kind but it's nice if they're clean

First definitely would be shirt..... But on another note, shoes are very important because (imo) they could either make or break an outfit.

Just saying.
