latinacorazon Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Im dating an asian guy from Vietnam who is 5'5 like me. Its crazy because to me height is very important. Like i love tall guys 6'0 and up there. Even tho it really bothers me that he is short i like him to much to let him go over stupid height matters.. It sucks because i wont ever be able to wear heels around him we are exactly the same height.. But he is the most sweetest guy i have ever met and the most caring... i cant help but forget about that. He makes me to happy i have learned to accept it. All i can say is that it really doesn't matter if you like that person to much.
mtnbiker Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) I'll admit too having some issues, like most including those who tell everyone and anyone how great they are, but being 5'9" is not one of them. I'm sure someone will claim I'm lying to myself, but I have never been concerned with my height. I suppose it heps that I am well built, intelligent and Italian. The insecurities I have come from self sabotage. Most women are 5'7" or shorter, so myself with boots and her with heels are still the same height or I'm taller. Have yet to meet a woman that my short built ass couldn't handle and I love curves as well. I also like women who are both taller than myself and on the opposite end small and petite(plus all in between), personality and character still means a lot to some people. I grew up in a bad neighborhood, where you had to fight to gain respect or be constantly picked on or beat up. Being short and skinny, my punch had little to offer. But being a paper boy and a bike rider I did develop extremely strong legs, and then an uncle taught me how to kick above my head. I once laid out the school bully a six footer with one kick. After that he was the laughing stock of the school as I knocked out a tooth. The girls noticed.
