Kcelleste Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 To pay off our debt, get help with sitting (we both have one child) and save to get us a new apartment. My sister and I decided to move in with our parents temporarily (mom & stepdad) eight months ago. It’s been downhill for us since we moved in. First their car got repossessed (they are using mine), their business failed (either they lose/quit another job, decide not to take the new job offer or don’t get the job) and so their constantly begging us to pay bills that are not our responsibility. We are giving them money that we planned to save on moving out or miscelleous. We are frustrated, angry and desperate to leave but we can’t right now. This situation is not what we expected at all and it doesn’t seem to get any better. After we moved in our mother confessed that they were always having financial issues on and off since they got married. We are at our wit’s end on decisions. We only have enough money for food and gas. What should we do? My sister now has lost all respect for them. How can we handle this without disrespecting our parents?
