kellyd22
Hi, I am new and I would like to get some insight into a problem that I have. I have been with my boyfriend for 2.5 years. We have never had any real issues at all. We get along great, and spend a lot of time together. in late August I discovered I had "crabs" This came as a shock to me since we were in a monogamous relationship. I had just returned from a week at the shore when I discovered them. My boyfriend denied having them or sleeping with anyone else. He then told me he thought that I had gotten them down the shore from some infected bedding where I was staying. He sent me several links from the internet that said there was a small chance you can contract them that way. Around the same time, a stash of condoms in his house that he did not know I knew about started depleting. We do not use condoms. I told him that I saw some missing and he told me that he gave them to a friend. He denies that he is cheating and has not acted any differently in our relationship, he swears there is no one else. I can not wrap my head around the fact that he is cheating. I know I am in denial. I love him so much that I am finding it hard to let go. I was one of those girls who always said cheating was a deal breaker, yet here I am clinging on to this relationship. I am holding this all inside and I am dying a little more each day. I can't sleep at night, I am up thinking about this constantly. Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated. I should mention he is my first boyfriend since my divorce and that I was with my ex for 23 years, so my self-esteem isn't great.
lukas
The crabs should have been a dead give away, the likelihood of you getting them from something that isn't bedding is quite appalling. And frankly if I wasn't cheating and my gf said she had crabs and tried to blame me for it I'd dump her on suspicion of cheating.... investigate his behaviour especially vis-à-vis the condoms!
