lissab113
So, I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years. He has told me that I am the woman he wants to marry, however he wants to live together first. We're both in our mid-20's (He's 24, I'm 23). What is usually a normal time frame for a man to propose?

Artifact
My boyfriend of 2 years just proposed (I'm 24, he's 23...)- but it is unlike your story because we DIDN'T want to live together first. (Although we spend nearly 16 hours together most days. We DO have to work you know! ) We just decided that the next time we moved, which is next summer for graduate school, we would get married and get our own place. We have spent enough time together to get used to our "home" habits, etc. I know he takes the longest shower he can and that he prefers to rinse his dishes off and leave them in the sink (even though I have a dishwasher handy.) He knows I brush my teeth 3 times a day, and squeeze the toothpaste from the middle of the tube. So, for us, 2 years was plenty of time to make the decision. (We too talked about marriage for many months/ almost a year before this.) For you it may be like cinnamonstix said- one day you just won't be able to wait any longer!
