i love my husband very much, and know he loves me, but...tonight we were playing pool and he made the statment' my misstress would have beat me for that shot,' joking i asked 'who'? he said 'tammie his misstress in houston.' now, perhaps i should mention that we are involved in s&m and to call someone master or misstress is an extremely big deal. to my knowlege i was to only woman to whom he gave this title and was very hurt when he said this. now all i can picture is him under some other woman calling her by my title. what you you feel i should do? i want to let it blow over, and he did aplogize. but that vision is ripping me up.

please help!

Well, slip ups are slip ups. I'm not into the s&m thing but it sounds interesting. I didn't realize there were club rules and title formalities. However, people have slips of the tongue all the time and they really don't mean anything. It sounds like your husband was joking.

Now if something is going on you don't know about, talk to your husband and discuss it. If it's just the slip that bothers you, just forget it because he will NEVER be able to unsay it.

If you're bothered that your husband may be involved with another woman in Houston, live with it babe. By being involved in the sexual adventures you are, I think it may come with the territory. I'm sure your husband loves you dearly and he will love you even more if you are forgiving and understanding.

If you're going to be involved is s&m, especially with other people and couples, you better develop a thick skin.

And, by the way, I thought YOU were MY mistress!!!

You have to tell him how unhappy that slip of the tongue made you feel. Then give him a good thrashing and tell him you are his only mistress or he will pay dearly for his lack of obedience. Tell him you will not tolerate him having another mistress and if he does, you will get a new master.
