Author Ladydrib
I think it is wonderful you reached the one month mark. I hope I can say the same in a months time..... Well done and keep up the good work. Are you doing anything nice or new for yourself to stay focused? Thank you. I hope you stay in NC too! I'm just keeping busy and focusing on doing healthy things (eating right, excersizing, making wise choices). I'm also heightening my awareness of my response to everything and using it to guide me. For example, sometimes I catch myself thinking about him and then a few minutes later I feel sad. Rather than hitting my head against the wall endlessly by doing it again and again, I take notice of the cause and effect of everything I do or think. In that example, I make sure I'm aware that thinking of him created negative feelings inside me, and I label it unhealthy, or toxic, or just simply a thought that produces feelings I'd rather not experience. The result is that I move forward with a better awareness and use it to give me strength towards NOT thinking of him. If it hurts, why do it? I'm doing this with everything. Certainly not just thoughts that are about him. If something brings bad feelings, I avoid it. If something is good, I do it more. It really seems to be helping. So simple, but with commitment - so powerful. It's not an instant cure (there is no such thing as instant ) and I do think about him still, but I know if I keep doing this, my thoughts of him will eventually go away and so too will my feelings for him.
