So, Im going through a process of rebuilding myself after a bad breakup. And I really want to have unshakeable confidence. To give you some context, Im depressive by nature, deep, and can be pretty sensitive.

 

I dont really struggle meeting girls, or getting dates, but I could do with more confidence, and to just be a more care free person in general.

 

So far these are things Ive done/am planning to do but Id like more ideas:

  • reading the Power of Now (so far really liking it)
  • taken up a Spanish course (been wanting to do it for years never got round)
  • Swimming every day (liking my changing body)
  • thinking of taking up a dancing class (absolutely hate dancing!)

To give you some context Im actually very self conscious and the idea is to step out of myself, by doing things that are likely to be how can I put it, painful?:(

 

Im smart, relatively good looking, and have a lot going for me. But its about time I really started to appreciate myself, so any ideas would be helpful!

I really like The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. Its main purpose is to unblock creativity, but I found that it encourages you to live life differently, with more happiness and purpose. It has a bit of a religious slant, but you don't need to be religious or spiritual to follow the exercises.
