Nik1
Wasn't sure where to put this, it's mostly a question for the ladies. So, I've always had self-image problems. Growing up I was fat (Bob Hoskins in Roger Rabbit fat, I've already explained this), had lots of acne, had a terrible slouched posture which gave me the appearance of a hunchback, I also walked funny and was hairy as all ****. Now, I'm getting back in shape, lost 20 pounds. Actually, my friend who I hadn't seen in years; I just met up with him a couple of weeks back, his eyeballs nearly popped out of his skull as he said "Wow, you look thinner!" (this was the first thing he said to me). My acne cleared up years ago, not worried about that (except when I get the occasional annoying lip-zits). I don't see myself walk much, so I can't comment on that, but I'm pretty sure since I lost the weight that my posture isn't so bad anymore... The only thing now that really irks me is my body hair. And when I say body hair I MEAN BODY HAIR. Chest, stomach, shoulders, back, arms, legs, the works. I could show you a picture if you want. But for now, just imagine someone wore an alpaca vest for ten years and the fibers fused with their skin... that's me. No joke, I can't remember the last time I went to the zoo without finding a tranq-dart in my neck. When I go to the doctor's office for a check-up they offer me chemotherapy. When I want some action I don't go to a brothel, I go to the carpet store and lay down on a table. ....sorry. I understand that these days, the manly man with a full chest of hair isn't in, let alone the one who has a full everything of hair. This wasn't a problem with my ex because she was one of the few who actually liked it. I practically had to beg her to shave my back cause I didn't want it peeking out of my turtle neck. Now that I'm single I doubt I'll be finding another one like her any time soon. So to all you normal ladies, how much trouble am I in? Is being hairy really that unattractive? I shave my back and shoulders when I can, but it's become problematic cause now I have to ask my dad to it and it just ends up growing back in a week. yellowxoxo
It wouldn't bother me but I'm pretty easy going but I will say... reconsider the turtle neck.
amaysngrace
Can't you get laser hair removal or something? I'm not into hairy guys so it wouldn't work for me but some chicks dig it. Don't be so hard on yourself. Your last girl liked you as is. I'm sure she isn't the only one.
Author Nik1
Can't you get laser hair removal or something? I've thought about getting my back done, but it's $250 per session. I don't know what "per session" means, but considering most people who go for that kind of treatment are there for lip hairs and unibrows and such, I'm sure my treatment would cost a small fortune. You have a self effacing sense of humor you made me smile..... my sister said this to me once i will share it with you.......dont think there is only ever one person who likes you there are always more than one who will find you attractive....she is younger than me and i respect her vision with this....it is true..she told me that years ago.....and i know i attract guys.......i have had a belief in soul mates for a long time mainly because i am a long term person.......god has back up plans when things go wrong...there are more than one guy or one woman for everyone...there is someone out there for you.....and if I loved someone they could be armless hairy like cousin it and i would love them anyway i would buy hair clips.......i would brush his hair....i love my long hair even though i moult all the time...how could i not consider a guy who had hair......you will find the right woman for you......i cant say why guys get attracted to me in the first place .....or choose me over others and i guess i will never know......but i dont consider myself good looking.....i think i can look good by the way i hold myself.....deb
Author Nik1
Um... yeah, but if I do have the extra money, I'm gonna go ahead and do the laser thing.
sweetkiwi
laser treatments are very painful and expensive. 250 a session means multiply 250 by 10 or more. 2500. And thats just a portion of your body. If i were you i'd just get your back waxed. And if you have sensitive skin get some aftercare products that reduce redness and bumps. sweetkiwi
also, i love hairy guys. Everyone has their own things that turn them on so don't worry so much about what most people think. There's someone out there who will love your body hair.
Jamesblame
Save money up for cosmetic laser treatment if it really bothers you. It's just one of those issues you'll have to own up to. Some guys are hairy, some guys are bald. Some guys are bald and hairy. It's genetic and you can't really be down on yourself because you had no control over it, thus have no blame for it. Would you hate yourself if you had cancer or red hair? I feel for you, and honestly while confident about who I am, I see nothing wrong with getting some work done..especially about something that bothers you. Plus..you already know that some people are accepting of it. My brother in law is a guerrilla and my sister doesn't seem to mind.
