The_Face
So I realized I can't stop smoking cigarettes until I stop smoking weed. Weed gives me anxiety most of the time now, and it lingers throughout my day to day life, even on days where I haven't smoked, but maybe smoked the day prior. Smashing the utensils, it's going to be a very important, powerful moment. That is, after one last pow-wow. I want to say I never smoke pot. Ever. I already conquered drinking years ago. Now smoking. I went through a phase where I only drank once in a while before I had finally quit for good. Now I can confidently say I don't drink. The only downside to quitting smoking is I won't have the patience for video games anymore, and I just picked up Arkham City. But there's alot of good that can come from this. Any huge potheads just up and quit cold turkey before? I think it's going to be super easy for me, at this point in my life. I haven't enjoyed it for a long time now. But for the sake of discussion, what helped you through your time getting off the pot, if you were a heavy user? Was it difficult for you?
ThaWholigan
I was a heavy weed smoker in 2010 and early 2011, but I had to stop as I pinched a nerve and the weed was making the muscle in my neck relax on the nerve, causing it to be very discomforting. It wasn't actually as hard as I thought - although in a social environment I have found it difficult to turn down when the "peace pipe is passed", so to speak . What helped me was learning to meditate and channeling that energy into creative pursuits. Although I have to say that I have never smoked a cigarette by itself, so I never used that as a weed substitute.
