High School Dating

So i'm a senior boy in high school, only dated once and it lasted a day for inexperience reasons. Over the years I have made many friends. I can talk to girls pretty well there is many who just run up to give me hugs every day. Some of them I have tried asking out but I get rejected. The problem is that, they all enjoy talking to me I know it. But I can never stop talking about basic things. Like i'm interviewing them. For example there is a girl who usually comes to talk to me daily and gives me a hug, we talk. But when we talk it's usually about her swimming team or basketball or my sports, I do keep in shape. But it feels so dull. I am horrible at flirting by the way. My usually attempts at dating a girl would be. Talk for a few days, then in a conversation I would say "Hey would you like to go out with me?" I have gotten rejected many times with no success. I don't have a phone, so I can't text them. Plus I don't have my license yet.

So this girl I have been talking to I know she may like me. But it's been around a few weeks now and I feel i'm losing any chance. I have no idea how I should ask her out. Because of how I tried before failed with other girls. Any advice before my high school ends and i'm left wishing lol?

It's always good to focus on the other person. Like, when I'm starting to get to know a guy, I try to talk about what interests him, or ask him questions about his own life. I do talk about myself too, but it's a mix of him and me. Ask about music, tv, movies, favourite foods, what she does at xmas, her hobbies, etc...anything that will create a conversation. As for this girl, I think you just have to ask her out. Sometimes we have to go through a lot of rejection to find the person who will want to go out with us.
