Big Boned Ladies.... like or not like?

Recommended Posts

I've been always wondering this question. I know guys like girls who's under a size 8. And then there are guys who like BBWs. But what about the "in the middle" girls? The 10s thru 16s? The girls who are too big to be considered "normal" but too small to be considered BBW. Most of them may be big boned/large framed but as toned as the smaller framed model skinny girls. I'm a 12-14 (but thats because I have huge breasts and a butt) but toned (flat tummy, atheltic legs and arms). What do you think of these girls?

Don't worry, I already have a guy.:love::love: However before meeting him it was tough because once I tell them my size, they back up. I mean I don't look that huge.

lydiamarie is right...the average female is size 14. Why bother even telling a guy your size? Most guys can't correctly guess a size anyway. And, in fact, I think most men are attracted to women who are FIT (i.e., women who exercise and eat healthy), curvy, and confident. So really, that's what you should be focusing on. I don't think sizes 10-16 are above normal at all.

Isn't "big boned" just a polite way to explain that a girl is fat?

I think that big bones and big butt - relative to the rest - are great! more power to you.

they do say, though, that size 8 to 10 is thin.

Actually, there is such a thing as frame size. For example, I have a large frame and would never look right at less than 135 pounds or so. In fact, I would look anorexic. Then again, you have to consider the fact that I have a lot of muscle and big boobs, which also factor in. Nevertheless, I don't think sizes 10-16 can be considered "fat" if you're fit.

I don't want people to think I'm insecure about my size. As a matter of fact, I've recently embraced it. I've been this size since I was 12 (didn't fully developed my boobs until I was 16) so it's no big deal. I know I'll never be smaller than a 12 but hey it's the inside that matters. By the way, I'm pretty tall too... 5'7" and weigh 160 (measurements: 34DD-29-41. And besides, my current BF actually like me with a bit of meat. :D

The main thing is why do men turn away girls who are no smaller than an 8? I understand the health issue but hey a 10 who is 5'0 is much different than a 10 who's 5'11.

Men have their preferences, just as women do. However, I've noticed that men with intelligence, class, and something worth offering care less about your size than they do about your other qualities. The ones who will throw you away based SOLELY on your size aren't worth dating anyway.

Your "stats" sound just fine to me! I'm guessing that, as far as body shapes go, though, that you are a pear? If so, must be nice. I'm an apple, myself. Carry all my damn weight in my boobs and stomach.

SweetBee82, I don't know what type of men you are use to, but a size 12 is not fat at all. Size 8-10, I think is kind of on the small side. I don't know many people below a size 8 for that matter a size 10. But a size 12 is not big.

I can easily name some in the past: my ex-hub, my brother (def. him), my dad, previous bfs, guys I dated, they all told me to go lower than a 12-14 when they know I can't unless I get a boob redux which that will never happen. I'm so glad my current bf was really happy of the way I look. Yeah when we first met, I was a bit heavier (I was an 18, the heaviest I ever been) then just recently got back to shape and darn it I'm on the best shape of my life. But still I have my twiggy older brother (he's 5'9" and 140 but really small framed) demanding me to lose 15 more pounds so I can be considered "healthy". I just told him to **** himself because now I'm comfty in my skin.

Men in this world are just shallow, even for someone who isn't that big.

If you are overweight, then you are unhealthy. I see nothing wrong over your family being concerned over your health. I, personally, frown upon persons who are in an unhealthy state, feeling "proud" or "comfortable" of the state they are in.

If I look at a person, and that person does not appear to be in good physical health, I do not believe it is in any way shallow of me to find her unattractive.

I prefer slender, small frames. Several of my girlfriends have ranged from size 00 – 5. My present girlfriend wears a size 00 – 2, depending on the manufacturer.

hmm, that is strange because I have noticed many intelligent, talented, interesting men of class enjoying and prefering in shape women who are thin.

You said it yourself... "prefer". If a man would throw a woman who is perfect for him in every other way away just because she's not thin enough...then I stand by my original statement. No one can meet every single need of someone else.

Oh, and regarding overweight=not healthy...What is your definition of "overweight"? If you mean "weighing more than the government says you should weigh", then how do you explain powerlifters who have a lot of muscle? What about women who are technically overweight because of their breasts or some other such thing, but who exercise more than two hours a day and eat healthy? Being overweight does NOT equate being unhealthy. That's ridiculous.

Exactly! :D

Well, it's your preference. I can't change that. But you have to realize that there are women out there who are 14s who are 4'11 and there are 14s who are 5'11. Same size, yes, but very different results.

I may be 5 pounds over what the gov't says what's considered "healthy" but I have an active lifestyle. I work out every day (no less than 45 minutes, no more than 2 1/2 hours). I even like walking around the area like it's no big deal. I eat healthy foods 95% of the time. Even my metabolism is high. Yet, I'm still considered "overweight".

But hey don't blame me if I got really big boobs and muscle weight, and booty, and long hair. Most of that adds into your body weight. Hey if I was a smaller cup, easily I would be 155 however would look bad because I got big hips. I'm very proud of my curves that G-d gave me and there is no way I would go out there and get a boob redux or anything else done to be 5-15 lbs lighter for the sake of vanity.
