Ladies - grey hair on men. Turn on or turn off?

That much grey hair means the guy is too old for me so yes, it does bother me. If he is young and still has a lot of grey hair, I'd probably get him to color his hair. Some men in my family do it.

I dated a 27 year old guy that had mostly grey hair. He looked amazing other than that and didn't look old.

Yeah. The average young man can't pull if off though. It's like baldness...if a guy has a sexy face, he is still very sexy with shaved head. The average guy? Not so much, he needs some hair.

I dated a 25 year old guy that was going bald. It bothered me a lot at the time and I was afraid my friends would make fun of me for it, I was in my early twenties and more shallow. I'm not quite sure how I would feel now.

Me, too. He was Italian and it ran in his family. His sisters colored their hair. Dad and Mom didn't.

Im very weird in that I started with the grey hairs at around 16YO. I also looked very young till I started working which actually aged me (contrary to what the docs say) but it was basically features of my face that made me look older like jaw chin and neck. so it looked odd. a young looking skinny kid with greying hairs. I did color my hair at one point but my exwife loved it so I kept it. my current gf loves it too so good for me. and we have very good genetics so no balding in our family. so muscular young looking short-haired guy. I keep it short because it annoys the hell out of me when I wear my helmet and have to put it on and off. too much styling nonsense..and no, its not a bicycle ;)

depends on your age. If you're 60, dying it so there's not gray will look fake. Maybe too if you're younger.

Get some non-permanent hair dye in the women's department -- Clairol, etc -- dilute it, and run some through your hair. See how you like it, if you do, use some more until your hair's as colored as you want. Be sure to leave some gray.

It will make you look at least five years younger and especially if you're young and really self-conscious, may make you feel a lot better about yourself.

If the women's section is too much for you -- the advantage is a huge selection of colors and levels of permanence -- go the men's section with its far more limited selection.

Sorry not exactly a dating response here - but this was not something I actually thought about prior to my older man fascination thing I seem to have always had ..

H'mmm.. the greying thing has been a real difficulty for me but now I am ok with it - but prefer professionally dyed hair on my Husband which leaves a very slight bit of grey at the sides. With his gorgeous brown eyes, this looks HOT! I think his full head of hair is one of his most attractive features and I want to keep it that way!.

I can cope if he does not dye it but not so much.

I keep myself in top notch, so expect the same.

Take care,

Eve x

I don't think dyed hair looks good on a man. Trust me, it's not lost on me that I dye my own hair, ok. I'll take the natural grey any day.

Balding is totally fine with me as long as the hair gets a buzz cut or at least something short. Wispy strands around an increasingly visible scalp-not good. Owning it, hot!

My impression is that if a man has grey hair short is preferable, like in the examples I mention in my question. Long, flowing grey hair I think looks worse.

Also, I suppose that dying has to be done professionally and carefully maintained to look good.

However I mentioned dying at the place I go to have my, completely grey, hair cut and this 19 year old girl who works there screamed "NO NO! All the girls I know love grey hair!"

You should have asked her out right then and there.

My pubic hair has no gray at all, so have been thinking of grafting some of it on my head to cut the amount of gray down. Has anyone tried this option to dyeing?

It would also probably add some textural … diversity.

I took the graft from my back and my ears. It solved two problems at once!!!

Gray hair, or any colour hair is sexy on a man who takes care of it. If it looks dirty, unwashed and unkept, for me, it's a complete turnoff.

My nosehairs can get to 4-5" these days also, so I braid them. There's another source of nongray hair right there. I think we have it licked.

It depends on the guy's age.

My ex was going grey. At the time, he was 27...I was actually a year older. He just had a very mature look about him, even aside from the grey hair. Once or twice people remarked, 'oh, you're with a much older man! How did you meet?' Or whatever.

So when he started greying, I hated it. Hated! He was so young and looked prematurely old.

However, a guy over 40 with just a little, that's ok.

Clooney and Cooper can get away with it because they're exceptionally handsome. That Pinsky guy looks like a poor man's Kevin Spacey, lol
