tom22 Posted November 11, 2012 Share Posted November 11, 2012 Hi to all! I have always been shy with regards to speaking to women for the first time (as I'm sure many guys are!). However once I've got talking to someone new, I soon become comfortable, but its that initial contact that is always the problem! its for this reason I started online dating (varying results...!) So, one day, i stumbled across an idea someone had online.... say, for example, you see someone you like the look of, working at a bar or in a shop or whatever, but are too shy to start talking to them... well, when you are done being served, leave your phone number on a little slip of paper for them! It sounded a bit stupid to me at first.... but I tried it, and it worked! albeit not first time, but I had seen this girl in a shop I use from time to time, and I left her a little note with my phone number on it saying it would be nice to chat sometime. she text me later that day saying it had made her laugh and that she'd love to chat! I've now had 3 dates with her and we get on sooo well! It won't work for everyone I'm sure, and I guess some will think it a little bit weird.
