homesick
well so i wanted so badly to get out of my moms house that i moved several miles away to a new state. now she rented a much smaller apartment so i cant go back there and i am stuck here now. i have been here for six months now and am unable to commit to anything! i cant keep one job even or one friend or anything that entails a commitment because i am not happy here now and i cant go home either. i feel so lost and so scared that i do not know what to do, any suggestions, please! cinnamonstix49
Maybe you could join a church group or a charity group, they're both great ways to make friends and also they would give you someone to talk to about your problems.
honey2005
Maybe you can talk to you mother and tell her you weren't ready to move out and you want to come back. Maybe she will go back to the bigger apartment.
trouble
Homesick What state are you in? Do you have any hobbies or sports interests? I have a friend that moved very far away from home and found some new friends through hunting and wakeboarding. He just went online and found people in the area with like interests. Fire Inside 29
I once moved away from where i lived for all my life for 25 years.Man was that hard especially when your a little older.I tried going to the local bars & dance club to meet new people and see what the scene was about.Turns out all the people had their own little social elite circles of people they all grew up with.It was hard meeting new people it really didnt happen til after a year.I met people through people I worked with.I was in my mid 20's when that happened it was a weird and interesting time in my life.I spent a whole year without friends I started reading alot it was crazy.Anyway I would go looking for group outlets if I were you but watch certain ones make sure its not a sick twisted cult manson group or something.Either that or dress up like a clown and run around town alot of people will want to meet you then! moimeme
It does take quite a bit of time to get established in a new town. I've done it twice. How old are you?
sodhgo;asudfh
i know what you mean i moved from my life long town too, and was merged into a completely different enviroment. although i hated it, i stuck with my friends from my old town adn they hlped me through. i hated the public school, and most people there hated me, i eventually went to a different school, not only did that overcome my depression, i felt sooo happy ever since. the whole entire town seems soo much different now, i am much happier. a simple change may help you. wehn i moved, i was very depressed, but now i see that it was for the very best, and i am sooo glad i did move. different town events and neighbors often are key to findign poeple in the area, but if you find inner peace and happiness, you may find it much easier to accomlish things, such as finding friends, you wil leventually realise that maybe this move was for the best also meeting a man from the area may also may occupy your thoguths inside of the move, and it would be a great way to meet people
