As soon as I met my boyfriend I felt a special connection. I was in his country because I took up some part time work. Things developed further and eventually we moved in together for a short time (2-3 months). We both said we had strong feelings for each other and things were great until I received a message from home saying I must return.

 

My younger sister is very ill and I have to be with my family. She is not dying she will have this illness all her life. I just need to be home to prevent her from going to hospital. I lost most of my money with the airplane ticket and giving up my deposit. I only had enough for a basic life. My boyfriend has very little money as well.

 

I love him and he loves me but the communication has just become really bad. I don't have money to constantly phone abroad and he dosn't have money or time. I know one day that I will have a job and my sister will become stable again but I cant contact the man I love and really miss him.

 

I am in a position to take control, I can wait it out and see what happens..however if I am not even talking to him what have I got? I don't question how he feels about me I am sure but from having everything we now have nothing.

 

I am confused and would really appreciate some helpful suggestions

Hello flower26, I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. Can you communicate for free? Can you use Skype, whatsapp or other chat clients?

 

Other than that: Love that cannot express itself, is doomed. LDR without communication are essentially nothing.

Yes, I would highly recommend Skype. You can talk for hours as long as you have internet. If you don't have money to pay for internet, as least you can reach a place where there's free wifi. Communication is very important in a LDR, good luck!
