hotgurl Posted November 27, 2012 Share Posted November 27, 2012 does anyone get tired after exercising? Not I had a hard work out and I am tired but feel good. The I just walked a half an hour and must immediately go to sleep. I am out of shape and have gained weight so that may be it. But this has never happened to me before. usually I can exercise and I feel tired but good after wad and after I have some water and cool down I am refreshed. But recently I am so fatigued. After a long hike or a short walk. Literally I am have a hard time staying awake! Link to post Share on other sites
tman666 Posted November 27, 2012 Share Posted November 27, 2012 Other than being admittedly out of shape, are you healthy, i.e. do you sleep enough, drink enough water, control your blood pressure, etc.? I'd first double check your base health to make sure you're not missing something. Fatigue and poor diet can have a massive effect on your ability to perform well. While this might seem fairly obvious, sleep, hydration, and proper diet are really the foundation that everything is built on. If you're on any medications, that could be a factor as well. Author hotgurl Posted November 27, 2012 Author Share Posted November 27, 2012 my blood pressure is fine and I drink about 34 ounces of water a day. sometimes more. I have cold weather asthma. I sleep ok. Before when I lost weight exercising felt good. I had to work up to longer hikes and running but it was good. The other thing is when I cool down I get super cold and it takes me a long time to get warm again. I have a doctors appointment in Dec. Link to post Share on other sites

Intermediate training left me energized, though tired, but when I got into endurance training, the combination of fatigue and endorphins had me hitting the snooze button. Didn't matter the hour of day or night. I was doing some introductory riding this weekend, what I used to call warmup, like ten miles or so, and remembered the combination feeling of tiredness (not sleepiness) and a bit of physical fatigue. Drastically different from riding 50-80 miles and with aggregate climbing of 5-7K ft. I'd suggest mentioning your experience to your doctor during your next visit. It's possible there is an organic cause. Also, there may be a nutrient you're missing or are not absorbing which could be responsible. I don't sleep usually. For instance I was at work yesterday so if is not like I can. But it was just a walk a mild paced walk nothing extreme. I have been heavier than I am no but have not experienced this.Maybe is part of an overall problem. I have chronic allergies and can never breath. I know my doctor was thinking of doing a sleep test. If we are going on a long hike. I pack some food to eat at the peak. And plenty of water. Link to post Share on other sites
carhill Posted November 28, 2012 Share Posted November 28, 2012 I'd suggest pushing for the sleep test, since you know you have allergies and some difficulty with air intake. My exW had this issue, had the sleep test and ended up getting a MRI and having sinus surgery performed. That helped her a lot, including with issues surrounding exercise, and facilitated some weight loss over time. Most importantly, she felt better and more rested and avoided having to use a C-pap at night. Link to post Share on other sites
ScreamingTrees Posted November 28, 2012 Share Posted November 28, 2012 Personally, I feel physically drained, as in shaking and "weak", but also energized at the same time and I somehow still feel good, like I know I gave my body a great pump. Depends on the intensity of your work out. I'd say that my work outs would be thought of as "extreme".. I don't think I've ever felt sleepy from working out, then again, I'm an insomniac. Try a supplement like white flood, c4, craze, jac3ked...or whatever meets your needs for energy. Hate getting sleepy but I'm used to it by now. Link to post Share on other sites

rocketman122 Posted December 1, 2012 Share Posted December 1, 2012 my workouts are so brutal that im tired as hell. I do very heavy weights and very few sets. Im on a high for 2 hours after and I have a hard time sleeping, but I feel very fatigued. I can only train in the evening because I need my carbs before going in for war. hows your diet? do you take a multivitamin? stress level from day to day change? Link to post Share on other sites
