radchencko
A month ago I met this girl who was, on paper, nearly everything I wanted to be, who was interested in me. We'd talk and hang out regularly, and progressed from holding hands, cuddling, making out, and going on road trips together. At first I was skeptical of my feelings, but as time went on I opened up and I was liking her even more than I thought. So I asked her if she wanted to be in a relationship with me, knowing that she liked me. But she told me that while she likes me, she's not ready for a relationship, but might want one with me in the future. This is bumming me out, far more than I anticipated. I believe her reasoning--that she's not just using it as a polite way to blow me off--but it's still a rejection and I can't rely on her for a relationship anytime soon. It's frustrating because I have to start from scratch as far as forming a relationship with someone else goes, and my standards, in part because of her, are fairly high. It's interesting; I got out of a 3 year relationship about 7 months ago, and thought that if I could live though that, I wouldn't be able to get hurt again. Well, while the pain is not close to what I felt with the long term hurt, boy does it sting. Losing my job the day before and having finals next week aren't helping my stress levels. Anyway, just a pointless ****ing rant.
