PhillyDude
My interview was last week and I sent a thank you email and the lady replied back with "I enjoyed meeting you too" Um, HELLO???? Why would she just send that reply and not update me on the next step of the hiring process? I remember getting a reply 3 years ago and when the person updated me when I would hear from them. What was the point of responding back if she wasn't going to mention anything about the next step of the hiring process? That response sounds more like a response from a text a guy sends after a date.
OpenBook
No, it sounds more like "I'll call you."
Author PhillyDude
No, it sounds more like "I'll call you." It was basically a retarded response. If I don't hear anything by Tuesday of next week I will send her another email asking her..........."what's up with the status?

CarrieT
Obviously nothing if I;m posting about something else Not obvious - and no reason to be curt... Was there an explanation or closure? Did you inquire so that you would know what to do differently next time? All reasonable questions...

Especially in writing, like an e-mail. You did the right thing by sending a follow-up e-mail.

CarrieT
I don't want to discuss it, is that alright with you? It's perfectly acceptable. But you have come here looking for answers to a question and those of us who know your history would legitimately look to your other recent experiences and outcomes for answers and solutions to your ongoing issues.
pink_sugar
Been waiting for an update from PhillyDude. Anyways, that is a weird response, but nothing to make a new thread about. Maybe somewhere in the email you can say you would like to know the status, which is more direct and to the point. You can say something like "I really appreciate your time and interest. May I ask the status of my application or interview?" and vice versa
