You can and you will get through this, and it will be better........You are much too smart and too kind to let this knock you down and you don't see it but you are in the home stretch. You are sooo close to being free lady. Just a little more crap to deal with, but the sun is out and shining ahead of you. Big Hug! Now take some NyQuil and sleep. Thanks LG. You just made me cry. Your support has meant more than you know. I might skip the NyQuil and get my alcohol in a glass of wine (just one)
alexandria35 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 What gets me is that he even has the audacity to think he should be able to leave his wife and walk right into a full blown relationship with you. People leaving longterm marriages or relationships are not exactly on top of the world. They have a rollercoaster of emotions. They have guilt, fear, regret, anticipation, sadness,etc. They have nothing good to offer to anyone new until they have properly grieved and worked through the end of their last relationship. He wants you to be his soft landing, you to hold his hand and listen to his woes, you to be his shoulder to cry on and he thinks you should be happy to fill this role for him. Like you should be thrilled to be getting this broken dysfunctional man. Glad you're not even entertaining the idea. 5
