As much as affairs blow chunks IMO, I could probably be a bit (the teensiest-weensiest bit, mind you) more understanding about it if it were the same sex. After all, as much as one might want to be everything (literally!? nope, not me!!! ) to the one they love, even if one underwent the physiogically (and financially) costly changes involved there's no guarantee of success.
