Down in Dumps.

I quit therapy except for the one in which I can get my goodies to relax and numb myself. I was doing so well, but have relapsed into not being able to cope with my responsibilities. So bad that I have all these checks to deposit, and have not had any strength nor energy to do so, even though it would be of my benefit. I do not eat, and have become depressed again.

I have no love in my heart anymore. I have to see my ex NPD abuser because of children and everytime I do it puts me back into the worst frame of mind, the only way to heal is to never hear or see him again, but depending on his mood, I become his emotional punching bag. I believe he does this so he can continue to charm others, whilst using me as a mechanism to release his anger.

I should not have quit talk therapy, but I am so sick of being stuck in a neverending cycle of talking about the ****head.

I have chosen not to date until I have all these issues cleared from my mind, I am healthy in that regard, but these periods of crashing depression are becoming unbearable.

If your therapy was not helping you, you should switch to another therapist. They can help you with your depression. To help you see things in a less overwhelming light. And also, to help with medication (antidepressants) if you need it to help you over the hump, and they will help you to develop better coping skills so that the negative things that may happen are dealt with in a more healthy mindset in the future. Don't give up on therapy. If it's not working with your current therapist, find another one. The vast majority of people who seek therapy for depression report having improvement in their mood because of it.

The therapy was good, although rehashing was not, and their are no effective coping mechanisms against a sneering, manipulative, diagnosed complete NPD ass. You cannot simply ignore them, they push harder, if you take a stand, the revenge is staggering, if you argue, your mind will gets a doozy of verbal onslaught not for any minded weak or strong individual.

Yes, if you make a normal suggestion, and their minds (everything is a slight to them) are set on knocking you over, they will tell you to go stand in front of a truck.

They have 0 empathy. The only way to heal is to not have any contact, but due to laws, I cannot move or I have to give up 90% of custody of my children. A summer parent.

NPD is by design a manipulative, destructive way to control you. Get up, and out and away from this man - and leave the details to the courts to remove him from your presence while in presence of the children.

The sooner the better. PTSD or BTSD can result from being around a high functioning NPD/BPD'r - These people are dangerous. Think only about escaping this dreadful person.

Good luck
