another girl's underwear

Outrageous-X

The other day while I was at work, my boyfriend did laundry. He only washed towels since that's all that was dirty. When they were done, he told me that all the towels in the basket were clean and that they could be used. The he pulled out a pair of black panties and said "and your underwear got mixed in too" and handed them to me. I threw them back at him and said "these aren't mine."

The wash room that we use is public since we live in an apartment. he said they were probably already in the washer and he just didn't notice when he put our laundry in. it's possible, but i'm not sure if i should believe him or not. i mean, what are the odds that they just happened to be a woman's thong that he "picked up" by mistake? i don't know how to feel about it. please help.

I agree with sillysally. It does sound innocent since he does his laundry in a public place.

Also, he would of noticed and tried to hide them if he was guilty of cheating. I put myself in your shoes, since my husband and I do our laundry at a laundromat, and sometimes he has done it for me. I think I wouldn't be alarmed if that happened to us.

IMHO

I agree.

When you do your laundry in public places its not uncommon for other laundry to get mixed in.

Dryers especially have a knack for "hiding" bits of laundry only to deposit them later in another load.

Somewhere out there is a woman saying to herself, "Where the hell did my favorite thong go?"

This same exact thing happened to me, except it was me that was doing the laundry. My gf at the time thought the same thing... All I can say is...next time he'll be damm sure he checks the dryer completely before putting in his load. I still double check all the nooks in the dryer (even at home) before putting in a new load.

This is ironic because one of my best friends had this happen to her today- found another girl's undies after her boyfriend did laundry in public washers.

Why does it have to be skivvies? Why can't it be a sock?

Oh I always have random socks showing up in my laundry. I guess the random sock appearance in the laundry just doesn't raise the ire of the significant others as much as the wayward pair of undies...

He wouldn't have done that if he was up to something.

Is this not more of a coincidence than irony?

:bunny: Yeah.

To the original poster: I don't think you should be worried. Happens to me all the time. Socks, panties, boxers. A dog sweater. Not a big deal.

Cheers.

I think there are gnomes that do this.

Laundry gnomes.

They don't steal clothing because they want to. They steal clothing because they have to.

Oh! Oh! Did anyone ever see that kid's show "The Gnomes" or something like that? I don't think they air it anymore.

It used to be on Nick Jr. and I thought it was the s***, but whatever. Maybe I imagined it all because no one else remembers.

Like this book I read, with a blue, both-gendered genie that liked perfume. Read that one?

Oh, well, I have thing for shows with little people that wear pointy hats and live in tree houses and save all the deer or something then. I haven't seen it in forever so it probably was pretty bland and I just want to have happy gnome memories. Thanks a lot! :p

The main gnome, David, ran a forest animal pornography ring on the side, and hid it from his gnome wife. I'm sorry to taint it for you, but all was not what it seemed on that cartoon.

I believe he also ran a crystal meth lab in the back of his tree house.

Almost the same exact thing happened to me once, except my girlfriend found the panties first and asked me the same types of questions.

Total accident.

Coincidence, yes; irony if applied to literary work, but perhaps not panties.

Christ, its the semantic/linguistic police. And I was a lit major in undergrad, who would know?
