honey2005
Lately I've gotten my wisdom teeth taken out and I was using the doctor prescribed pain killers and they gave me so much energy. It wasn't until then that I realized I have very little energy on normal days. I stopped taking my pain killers a few days ago and I'm back to the no energy me. I know it's not depression because I'm already taking medicine for that, and I know it's not the depression medicine doing it because I've been like this for a long time. I was just wondering if anyone knows a good multivitamin or something that helps give you more energy. I don't like feeling like this but the last thing I want to do is go back to the doctor . Craig
Honey, have a look at the following link for information on the condition known as TATT (Tired All The Time). http://www.ivillage.co.uk/health/hlive/style/articles/0,,181167_583858,00.html You might also discuss the possibility of a sleep disorder with your doctor and explain that when you were taking the pain killers that you had so much more energy than usual. SamanthaX
Hi girl. Do you exercise at all? Do you smoke? How is your diet? I used to be sedentary and a smoker. I was 30 lbs overweight and tired ALL THE TIME. I started eating better, taking a multi-vitamin (any one for women will do) and exercising every day. I cannot believe what a different it made. I am literally bouncing off the walls. My dad used to poke fun at me for never being able to keep up with him when we went for hikes--now it is the other way around. I just went on a 30 mile bike ride last weekend. Take a good look at your habits and find places you can make adjustments. Small changes can make big differences.
neghlucky
how much sleep do you get and when do you go to sleep by? for peak energy you should get to sleep before 10:00pm because the healing chemicals are released during 10:00pm 2:00am. make sure you hydrate yourself and eat enough protien, you gotta give your body the energy it needs. how many meals a day do you eat? you should eat around 5 small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism up. the next thing to check is if your getting enough exercise, you gotta consistently expand your tolerance for exercise in order to continue increasing energy, slowly and in a controlled manner try to increase your endurance every time you exercise. as for nutrients, i suggest a green drink or a multivitamin.
