In urban dic. Or few websites I found, "Future ex wife" means 'fiance' but really it does?

My boyfriend always uses this phrase when he introduces me to his friends..

He always goes like "hey have you met my future ex wife?" .. I mean can't he just ignore ex part and say wife only??

It's been few weeks I've been seeing him.. he actually asked to be exclusive at the first time we met..

He calls texts everyday and wants to bring me to his friends.. so I know he likes me and doesnt play any games.

When I give him massage or do sweet things, he always like "this is why we will end up being together." Or "marry me" ..well not in serious way though..

So I'm confusing. I'm not really that worried since we just started seeing eachother, but if he's being just silly about all those marriage jokes then I'd be pissed lol

Anyways my question is, if he says "ex wife", does that mean he doesn't take me seriously?

Or guys actually use that phrase as "fiance"??

I do not think it means fiance.

It kind of feels like he is one of those passive aggressive people who want to make sure you don't fly away but also let you know that you're not there forever.

Personally I think this term is offensive. If someone introduced their female company to me with "my future ex wife" I would immediately think they're married and they're having issues and they're going to have a divorce soon.

I know people joke and stuff but this is not even funny! I would ask him to explain himself.

I don't really understand this "joke." Marriage IS honestly a horrible, horrible endeavor for any man in the western world nowadays. The courts give women the power to win every divorce financially, the culture sells men as disposable people, as walking wallets with no value or worth as human beings. I fully understand how any man would fully expect any given marriage to end. However, even given that, why any guy would call a girl his future ex-wife is beyond me. If he IS going to bother trying to marry her, given all the things stacked against him, why say that?

You are not his fiance. He likes you and he's trying to be funny and make his friends laugh. And one time it might have been funny - depending on the circumstances - but if he's doing repeatedly, you should start introducing him as your 'future ex boyfriend' and see how he likes it.

What incredible bullsh*t. Either you got this nonsense from the rest of the Bitter Brigade here on LoveShack, or you've been locked up in solitary confinement for the last 30 years.

A good portion of women are making sizable salaries and some are exceeding what men are earning.

Courts will still side with the women 90%+ of the time even if they are the breadwinner. Also, these high-salary women are fairly rare. You're the one living in nonsense land if you believe otherwise.
