Should I pursue or let it go?

Recommended Posts

I have this friend that I've known for a while, but we just recently started hanging out and talking. We flirt all the time, and she has alluded multiple times to wanting to kiss and be intimate with me. One conversation in particular got really hot and heavy, where we both expressed interest in being intimate. The problem is she lives 4 hours away, and I've seen her twice in the past six months when she visits family. She has told me that she wants me but at the same time is afraid to get too close to me because we live far apart. I confessed to her one night that I was developing a crush on her (not that it was a surprise), and since then we haven't really spoken aside from me telling her I missed her, wishing her a happy bday and her texting me to wish me a Happy New Year. I feel like I'm always the one reaching out to her, and I know she has been in the same area as me (about 45 mins away) visiting family for over a week, and she has not contacted me once to meet up or hang out. I feel like if she wanted to hang out she would have reached out to me.

Not sure why things got weird after I told her I had a crush on her but I kinda feel like she's ignoring me or isn't interested anymore. Should I still pursue this or just move on and let it go?

Wait for her to contact you again. If it's always you who contacts her, you wouldn't be giving her the chance to miss you.

If she's not contacted you to meet when she's that close, then she's likely not interested in pursuing things further with you. Maybe it is the LDR thing, but 4 hours isn't too bad, as far as LDRs go -- thing is, both people have to want to make the LDR work. If she's not helping you make it work, you're better off moving on.
