andytenshi
3 Libras by A Perfect Circle has become my go to song after a breakup I can very much relate to its multiple meanings. unrequited love being the obvious and the other being about seeing something precious in the world that others seem to disregard and take advantage of, and you being unable to do anything to help. This speaks to me because I tend to be drawn to women going through hard times and with hard luck stories. " really wish I didn't sometimes" Thew you the obvious, And you flew with it on your back, A name in your recollection Down among a million same Difficult not to feel a little bit Disappointed and passed over When I look right through To see you naked but oblivious And you don't see me But I threw you the obvious just to See if there's more behind the Eyes of a fallen angel Eyes of a tragedy Here I am expecting just a little bit Too much from the wounded But I see, seeing through it all Seeing through, see you 'Cause I threw you the obvious to See what occurs behind the Eyes of a fallen angel Eyes of a tragedy, oh well Oh well Apparently nothing Apparently nothing at all You don't, you don't, you don't see me You don't, you don't, you don't see me You don't, you don't, you don't see me You don't, you don't, you don't see me You don't see me You don't You don't You don't see me at all

terlislee
So I'm waiting for this test to end So the light of days can soon begin I'll be alone but maybe more carefree Like a kite that floats so effortlessly I was afraid to be alone Now I'm scared thats how I'd like to be All these faces none the same How can there be so many personalities So many lifeless empty hands So many hearts in great demand And now my sorrow seems so far away It's all taken by these bolts of pain But I turn them off and tuck them away Until these rainy days that make them stay And then I'll cry so hard to these sad songs And the words still ring once here, now gone And they echo through my head everyday And I don't ever think they'll go away Just like thinking of your childhood home But we can't go back, we're on our own But I'm about to give this one more shot And find it in myself I'll find it in myself So we're speeding towards that time of year To the day that marks that you're not here And I think I'll want to be alone So please understand that I don't answer the phone I'll just sit and stare at my deep blue walls Until I can see nothing at all Only particles, some fast, some slow All my eyes can see is all I know But I'm about to give this one more shot And find it in myself I'll find it in myself

terlislee
For Good from Wicked I've heard it said That people come into our lives for a reason Bringing something we must learn And we are led To those who help us most to grow If we let them And we help them in return Well, I don't know if I believe that's true But I know I'm who I am today Because I knew you Like a comet pulled from orbit As it passes a sun Like a stream that meets a boulder Halfway through the wood Who can say if I've been changed for the better? But because I knew you I have been changed for good ~~ It well may be That we will never meet again In this lifetime So let me say before we part So much of me Is made of what I learned from you You'll be with me Like a handprint on my heart And now whatever way our stories end I know you have re-written mine By being my friend Like a ship blown from its mooring By a wind off the sea Like a seed dropped by a skybird In a distant wood Who can say if I've been changed for the better? But because I knew you I have been changed for good ~~ And just to clear the air I ask forgiveness For the things I've done you blame me for But then, I guess we know There's blame to share And none of it seems to matter anymore
Author ScienceGal
I need a silent true-way to admire. Like you as a sunset, and I as a wildfire. And I can let the day go... I've locked up these words, in fear that I'd say them wrong. Is it love as a mountain, or love as a simple song? And the moment that the two meet has now laid itself at your feet. And love is not convenient; it does not cease at your command. You might take and leave it, but love is all I am. Love is all I am. I need a boundless, soft way to commend Like you as a temper, and I as it's tender end. And however long your fits last I will live within your shadow cast. And love is still your stranger; it does not respect how much you'll stand You might be love's reminder, but love is all I am. Love is all am. I need a graceful, proud way to let go To smile and accept the things that you don't know The losses and the gains blurred The weight of these as last words And love is not excitement; it's not kissing, or holding hands I'm not some assignment; no, love is all I am Love is all I am. Love is all I am.

iKING
One girl that I fell for (even though I really shouldn't have) had me listen to both these songs like 5 years ago. Made me crazy. We liked each other but just couldn't be together. Never forgot them. Always wondered who the captain might've been, I go by king in real life as well. That's the other one. Bah, not this again. That's all your getting out of me.

Then I remembered there was another version from the otherside of the relationship. Don't play this in front of children Eamon - F**k it (I don't want you) Frankie - F.U.R.B. (F**k You Right Back) Frankee- **** you right back (Lyrics) - YouTube Now did that make you feel better. It did me! I suppose that's one way to learn human anatomy. You going for RN, PA or full out doctorate? It's nice to see someone with diverse hobbies, thought I was the only one. On a more on-topic note I thought of another OP, a band called Lydia, always move fast is a fav.

Soxfaninfl
"It Must Have Been Love" Lay a whisper on my pillow, leave the winter on the ground. I wake up lonely, there's air of silence in the bedroom and all around Touch me now, I close my eyes and dream away. It must have been love but it's over now. It must have been good but I lost it somehow. It must have been love but it's over now. From the moment we touched, 'til the time had run out. Make-believing we're together that I'm sheltered by your heart. But in and outside I've turned to water like a teardrop in your palm. And it's a hard winters day, I dream away. It must have been love but it's over now. It's all that I wanted, now I'm living without. It must have been love but it's over now, it's where the water flows, it's where the wind blows.
