So I worked on chest Monday. Legs/Cardio today. Planning on doing arms tomorrow. Any thoughts? Also I've been eating small meals throughout the day. and I don't feel as hungry close to dinner.

Well I started body-building about 3 months ago today and I can tell if you're dedicated, stick to your nutrition, and go 100% at the gym you will see results. I workout Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, and on those off days do ab's / Cardio. I went from being in the hospital sick with U.C weighing about 220 to weighing 170, put on 11 pounds of muscle so far, feel better than I ever have and I can run about 5 miles on those cardio days like its nothing. It's a lifestyle, you can't be 50/50 and honestly, it's the best kind of "lifestyle" to live in my opinion.

So far I've only been going Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. but haven't done anything on my off days. I've been watching what I eat as best as I can. I should do abs on the off days though, I don't need to go to the gym to do leg lifts and stuff on my floor. Do you have any suggestions for good ab workouts that I can do at home? Also I think I go 100%, but I never felt sore last week, so I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

You should for sure feel sore as hell the next day or something isn't right. Do Pilates, that will give a shredded core fast, very fast

Alright I guess I need to go harder than I was. When my arms physically can't do anymore, should I stop or just take a longer rest and try again after working on something else?

I'll give you like an example of one of my lifts.

 

Dumbbell bench press with 40 pound weights 10 times 45 pounds 10 times 50 pounds 12 times if i can get that. on that last set I try to go all out because that last set is what's really working my biceps / chest.

I'll look into programs, I just don't really know which one would be best for me.

 

Also a general health question. Would it be better to have a snack (crackers and cheese or pretzels is what I've been having) before dinner, or not eat before dinner and go for seconds if I'm still hungry? I think I know the answer, but I figured I'd ask.

Just fancied throwing my 2 cents in.

 

You should split the cardio/weight training, you might be able to get more done as that's what I've found. I do weight training twice a week, and cardio three times (I split it cardio/weight alternate) and more fussed on cardio.

I was always told not to eat anything before I did any training, if I did eat it really put me off the workout I found.

Well I think I've done pretty well this week, for some reason I think I felt a little stronger today and I noticed my arm looked a little more "cut" than normal. Could be my eyes playing tricks on me, or maybe I'm seeing results?

 

Anyway, I've been watching what I eat, but I still worry about if I have a slip up and have a few slices of pizza or something that isn't healthy. What would it to do to me exactly? Anything serious?

It would put somewhere between 400-1200 calories in your body.
