MsOptimist
Too right, Ms. O! Good news about dealing with the garbage that it prevents one from going back. Soon my friend...it will be Done-Did-and-Over with! What a wonderful glass of champagne that will be...Cheers!!! Stay strong. I had therapy a couple days ago and we discussed my court date for the final judgment in March. He wants me to plan something nice for afterwards - to celebrate, vent, whatever I feel like. I've been thinking about that and will plan something with a few friends. A nice dinner at the very least - definitely with wine and/or champagne! Something fell into my lap today that will be on the day of what would be my 10th anniversary in June, I'm so happy and my therapist will be so happy too! I got invited to be a part of a long distance relay race (that I've wanted to do for some time and never had enough interested people). It's out of town with a fun group of runners so it's PERFECT to then mark that day as my Ragnar Relay day instead of an anniversary. And I'll get to run out my thoughts and emotions - I'm so excited!!
Author Mystery2Me
Hey Ms O! Happy (early) Ragnar Relay Day!!!!! Absolutely brilliant that the relay fell into your lap, so very wonderful to have GOOD things happen. I appauld and share your commitment to a healthy lifestyle, maintaining fitness is one of things I refused to sacrifice throughout this whole ordeal. Sometimes vanity and cuteness is all a lady has.....especially when there's been infidelity. My final judgement will be in March too, just a few days after my birthday and I am okay with that....nothing like being born again! My family will be in court to support me, then enjoy dinner afterwards, and also planning a big something special for me and sweet Cinnabelle. Spoil yourself shamelessly on relay day with new shoes, maybe new running outfit...the lot! :-)

Spoil yourself shamelessly on relay day with new shoes, maybe new running outfit...the lot! :-) I refuse to sacrifice my health and appearance during all of this too. Well, maintaining my running has a lot to do with just keeping me sane and as an outlet for stress, but I love it and always have races and goals on my calendar. I've set some pretty lofty, but achievable, running goals for this year, and that relay race will be a great addition. The race ends at Niagra Falls and after spending 2 straight days running and in a van with my teammates we will then get a fancy hotel and celebrate at Niagra! There will be lots of fun costumes, crazy times running and in our vans, and then a big celebration afterwards. My team is a group of all females - sole divas as we're calling ourselves! I can't think of a better way to put a new spin on that day and weekend. That's harsh with your final judgment being just days after your birthday - but you have a great attitude about it! That's a great idea having family in court to support you, I hadn't even thought of that. I may have to gather a court support system as well. I'm just determined to make 2013 be an amazing year of re-discovery of myself, and I'm sure you feel the same!

MsOptimist
I needed to hear those words yesterday too - the past week was kind of down for me, but I'm picking myself back up. I knowingly stayed in too much last weekend and sometimes let my thoughts get the best of me (just feeling sorry for myself). I know that's going to happen at times, and I had opportunities of pull myself out of my funk and didn't take them. I'm taking them this week and already feeling better. I'm glad you had a wonderful day yesterday, M2M! I hope it continues today!
Author Mystery2Me
Give yourself a break, Ms. O! Sounds like you were just tired, and why would you be....this divorce stuff is hard work demanding not stop energy. Even when we are experiencing a joyful time, it takes enery to embrace that. Ultimately at least for me at this time, there is no downhill or coasting in divorce and sometimes I have no energy left....so for only a short time gotta put on the comfy bath robe, TV, champagne, and ride it out!! That what it was for you Ms. O, but now your rested get back out there!!! Have a wonderful weekend! ~Mystery
