Papillon
I was watching fashion TV the other day (boy, the female form is surely a thing of beauty), and one thing that always strikes me is that most of the designer outfits require you to not wear a bra, otherwise the effect would be spoiled. Now, are these designers tripping, or would you guys walk around all a-swinging in an outfit like that?
Mr Spock
No. Not unless there was some kind of hidden support-they're too big to run free.
Author Papillon
What I want to know is whether it's physically uncomfortable, or whether is simply makes you too self-conscious...
DerangedAngel
I usually only wear a bra when I'm sleeping or exercising. Otherwise, you can forget it. My clothes have enough built in support that it's really not a big deal. I'm barely into a C cup though, if that's helpful. If my boobs were any bigger, I doubt it would be comfortable. -Deranged
zara
it depends on your boobs. Most designers make outfits for models who have quite small breasts and if you have small breasts it can be easier to wear some of the things designed without worrying about lack of support or being too much 'on display'. I don't worry about the need for a bra because i have implants so they don't need support and i don't have modesty issues (being a lapdancer!). I also think that wearing underwear can spoil a beautiful outfit and the noticable lines of underwear draw more attention than if the person didn't wear any at all!
DerangedAngel
What I want to know is whether it's physically uncomfortable, or whether is simply makes you too self-conscious... Oh, neither. But I suspect for most women, it's the latter. -DA
HokeyReligions
Different for everyone. Depends on size and gravitational pull! When I was younger - didn't want one or need one. Now I have bras with nicknames; the left cup is "American" and the right cup is "Express" I don't leave home without 'em!
Touch_of_Naughtiness
I wish I could go around without a bra, unfortunately my boobies are too big for that and it's too uncomfortable physically. I have tried it a few times, but it does not work for me! There are times when I see the cutest shirts, but they have to be worn without a bra so I have to say bye bye They do have some little pads to put on when you have to go totally bra-less, but it just covers your breast it does not give you great support. reasontosigh
I'm small enough to wear stuff like that, I suppose, but not in an air-conditioned room! It's uncomfortable to the point of almost painful sometimes when my high beams are on!!
halida
I was just asked that question by a man the other week. "Why are you not wearing a bra?" It's simple. I don't like it. I have tried but always felt uncomfortable. Besides - I don't have much of a problem with them being right where they are. Size is right.
Thinkalot
I love not wearing a bra in summer ...so comfy without, and free feeling. My breasts are only a small handful though so I don't feel uncomfortable.
moimeme
I don't have dangle problems but clothes can definitely chafe so I wear the minimal amount of bra that keeps the clothes off the sensitive bits. But then we have the A/C problem which we spoke of on another thread.
Thinkalot
It can definately be uncomfortable to be high beaming without a bra on! And while my fiance thinks its great, in those cases, a bra is better. Another issue I have encountered issues with, is surfing in the winter, in cold water, with a wetsuit on. Those sensitive chest areas can really suffer.
Author Papillon
Surf nipple is a condition that transcends gender, unfortunately Though I can imagine how gals will be more at risk
femme
Although I don't have big boobs, I usually feel very uncomfortable (physically) to go without a bra. Sometimes at night I just put on a tshirt and try to go to sleep, but even then it's so uncomfortable that I actually get up to put on a bra and then go to sleep.

Taken_Angel
You have a daughter old enough to wear a bra and that's you in the picture?? And my POV I'm pretty small chested myself and to be honest I don't usually wear a bra unless I'm wearing a semi-shear shirt. Mine hold their own as far as support and shape go so I don't like the layering of clothing.
Touch_of_Naughtiness
I sleep with my bra on. I have tried several times not to do it, but it feels so uncomfortable without it!
SARose61
As a mature woman who's starting to lose some of her youthful bounce. I'd dont feel comfortable just flappin in the wind under any circumstances...lol. My wonder twins are taking a less than flattering trip further south. Ever heard the joke you know you're gettig old when the rose bud tatoo you have on your boob suddenly becomes a long stem Rose...<heavy sigh> Rose

Stone
I have large brests and still wear those sexy shirts. You just have to wear a high support strapples bra or let em flap baby!! Cut little tops have also been altered for chicks that have implants, because they don't have to worry about the wobble so much.

When I don't wear a bra I cannot sleep on my stomach and I love to sleep on my stomach. I feel like one breast goes one way and the other one goes another way. It keeps 'em in a "tight package" so I can sleep more comfortable. Mine actually will hurt in the morning when I don't wear a bra to go to bed. As for underwear I HATE Them too!!! I guess everyone is different. By the way, YOU GO GIRL, your daughter must be proud to say you are her mom
