Binx
Hello, I have just found this site. I would like some help, please. I was 120lb's when I got married in 1989(Aged 21 ) , I married my soul twin. We have two children together, but we have three( I had a daughter, aged three when we married) I'm 6' tall and now after 15 years of bliss find myself weighing in at 250lb's. I don't know where to start. I'm short of breath and black out if I get out of bed FAST in the morning. I need to loose weight. I have seen my local GP and he said I carried my weight well and not to worry to much about it. Can someone help me find a weight loss program, please!?.
pitprincess
Binx :):) I have started on and off many programs... My hardest part is not having a partner to talk with about it and getting strength to stay at it. I know that the number one key to loosing weight is Drinking LOTS Of water... I was on a diet a while back, lost some weight and just stopped. DONT know why but I did. I would like a partner to talk with to give me support and me give the support back as well. What do you say??? Lets have a glass of water today??? I know that everyone tells me that start off drinking 6 to 8, 8oz glasses of water a day. You start right now and I will as well. I will post back on this post and see if we drank it. GETTING STARTED IS THE HARDEST PART.. Someone else will jump in here and support us on this WE CAN DO IT :):)
BettyBoo
120lbs and 6' tall? I think you were underweight initally!!I think to just cut down on the wrong food and we all know at this stage what they are. Increase you consumption of vegetables (particularily greens) and fruit. Drink lots of water and eat chicken and fish instead of pork and beef. Exercise at something you really enjoy and cut down on alcohol. Pay attention to how you look now by making the most of yourself NOW not when you lose weight. When you feel good about yourself you will be more motivated to feel the best that you can and losing weight will become a positive step rather than a drudge! GOod luck

pitprincess
Well thank you so much :) I would love to... As i said tonight when I read this post I thought' Someone may help me do this.. I have been on diets before, even lost 70 lbs once then got pregnate again and never lost it back down. Its hard to do alone. I have many friends but none that choose to support me in something like this. Their idea of supporting is watching me try to struggle with it while they eat ice cream and pizza and things like that. I have a problem tho... I have a habit of not eating.. I dont eat sweets much at all and I miss two meals aday That is the hardest thing I have going on. I try and make my self eat right but my mind wont help me.

I need to lose about 40 - 50 pounds. Please keep posting on your progress, I read this and went to fill up my water bottle.

Ok its full now it makes it so much nicer doing this knowing someone some where does give a pooh other then just me trying to do this alone .. BettyBoo has been much help.. she is working out and im kinda lazy but im getting that water in and being kinda picky on what i want to eat. I am finding my self more wanting to get around a little more then I did last week. I have been really depressed and sleeping all the time day and night... I got up early yesterday and went out side in the sunlight... THAT NEVER HAPPENS :):):) I think if we can pull together and help one another we can do this... jesusfist
I've lost alot of weight in the past, far to quickly though through poor practice went from 105kg to 79kg, and i'm a man so not all of that was fat so i've learnt what to do and what not to do to a certain extent. As far as diets go i agree that yes they do work, but changing the way you eat permantly is better than staying on some diet like atkins because once you come off the diet you'll most likely put weight back on. Last point women should NOT stray away from weight training due to the fear they will become bulky and man looking, because frankly it doesnt happen, those bodybuilding women you see are on hormonal replacement and steroids. Plus doing weight training helps to sculp tone and shape muscles to get that sexay look lol i site i recommend looking at for a great source of information is http://www.discussfitness.com good luck at achieving your goals hopefully in the near future
