But here is the issue He has shown me interest, but he has mentioned to me that he is seeing someone else. He has never obviously told me that he likes me but more or less from his actions its obvious that he's into me. Now this other person he is seeing, it's only been a couple of weeks and he was saying so far things were headed 'in the right direction'. I'm utterly confused - he was telling me this during a conversation we had when he unexpectedly came to find me after one of my classes (he's not in that class) and he was like "lets sit down and talk". We ended up talking for like 2 hours and he was totally hitting on me and we talked about soooo much, including the other girl. He knows I'm single. Then at the end when we were saying bye, he invited me to go watch a game with some of his friends. I am not a part of his group of friends, but he invited me along saying he'd introduce me to everyone and he'd take care of me. I should mention he is a super popular guy and has no shortage of friends he could ask to come (blond hair, blue eyes, surfer, sophomore in a great college, football player) but he asked me to come when we are just getting to know each other, so to me this was showing strong interest. I have a feeling he is mentioning the other girl to show me that he has options open and to not make his interest in me TOO obvious. For the record, anything physical is out of the question and he knows this because he goes to my church (that's how we met). So I know for sure he's not just trying that, but i'm wondering why else he would be talking about another girl to me, and then also hitting on me. A friend of his told me that he's been really hurt by girls in the past and so he's afraid of being rejected/turned down so he usually takes things slow and is very cautious. Thoughts?
