As I’m waiting to put in my order, I notice a car pull in and park right next to another car. A woman gets out of the car that just parked and a man got out of the car that was already parked. They immediately hug and start kissing. She is exceptionally passionate and is kissing his neck, cheeks, and lips. A few minutes later, he locks his car and they get into her car. But they don’t leave. They continue to make out in her car. She can’t keep her hands off his face. And of course, can’t keep her lips off of his. This goes on for another 5 minutes until I have received my lunch and drive off. As I drive off, I look in my rear view mirror, and they are still sitting there, in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant, making out. Perhaps I should also mention the rather large diamond ring she was wearing. Something tells me that he is not her husband. It just brings a tear to my eye. Soulmates finding each other in the parking lot of a Burger King. 30 feet from a dumpster. And in full view of about 10 other cars waiting in line with me. I'll never know who those people are IRL. From what 96 said I put my money on an A, though of course there's always the possibility that it's not..maybe 2% ? It's all about odds.. Married couple meeting in separate cars at Burger King parking lot to make out HAHAHAHA My ex made out in a parking lot with her OMM, not even in the car. Though it was night... Then another night...she may have actually gotten pregnant in a truck, or maybe it was me a few night later when she woke up in a panic and had sex with me at 4AM (completely out of character for her). My ex and I made out in some weird places, but only while dating. We had a decent married sex life, but that was pretty much confined to the house. Affair? Probably. Just cause 2 people you don't know were passionately kissing each other, that does not make them "soulmates." Also, how do you know they weren't engaged to each other? It would be cool if they were engaged. I passionately kissed my husband when we were engaged, and still do today! No thanks lol don't support that proposal! I do think however that unless there's proof, we shouldn't assume either they're married to each other or not, since we don't know them. It's also not logical to think that just because 2 people passionately make out, that this means they're soul mates. When I see an elderly couple who I don't personally know holding hands and walking, I do assume they're married and have been together for decades, but I don't know... that's just what I assume based on the married elderly couple I do know who hold hands and love showing public affection... Hey 96 I did a quick survey today with a group of colleagues and friend's and asked if they'd as an engaged couple or married couple made out in a parking lot in broad daylight and in view of the general public. Nine out of ten said they might have done that in their early teens but not in any way other than that. I think you're probably correct in surmising the couple you witnessed were cheaters. It bothers me that in a sad way infidelity is more common than I realized, nothing surprises me anymore. I'm jaded now and maybe that's for the best. Our schedules were crappy and we didn't get the time we always wanted. We were all kinds of PDA kissy all over each other. The gas station, the grocery store. I remember leaving my car and getting in his at a Barnes and Noble bookstore parking lot and going to applebees for lunch where we sat wayyyyy too close and spent the whole time kissing and holding hands. We probably looked ridiculous but we were sooo happy and in love and couldn't keep our hands off one another. I read the story with that perspective and thought to myself.. wow, love is awesome and I hope they always have eyes for one another. We never stopped acting like that. Oh LFH, I love it when you write about your husband and you!!! It gives me goosebumps and I see my husband's eyes in my mind and melt!!! Thanks so much for sharing about your husband!!! No. I am saying that PDA "levels" differ from couple to couple. Clearly, passionate kissing in public makes them both cheaters. Because....why again? I can understand the thinking - and I think you can see where its faulty. But what makes you think they are cheating. Could be engaged. Could be married. Maybe one spouse travels frequently and this is a wonderful stolen moment. But...its cheating...why again? Assume much? nope. Clearly you assume here. Good grief.... Overreact much? Nope. Its insulting that just because your M (if you are now or have been) or those you are around don't include such PDA - that it must not exist for others. And since it cannot exist for others in their M's they must be cheating. Furthermore...no M couple would do such a thing in public. Found out a co-worker of mine had an appt that looked down on that parking lot and she and her boyfriend (also a co-worker) used to watch us and giggle every day. *blush* I look at my son now with all these hickies on his neck, looks so silly, but it reminds me of how crazy my neck used to look in highschool and my early 20's. 1 Link to post Share on other sites

If they got out of the cars kissed and talked while holding hands, I wouldn't have given it a second thought. If she was not wearing a wedding ring I wouldn't have given it a second thought.(the assumption of simply dating and just recently met.) It was the way she was grabbing his face, touching his face, hugging so hard, grabbing his hair as they kissed. They either haven't seen each other in a while or there was a forbidden aspect to it and they didn't have much time. Possibly both. My money is on the forbidden aspect or both If it was a married couple who hadn't seen each other in a while, my money is on they are going to meet at home, not a parking lot in the front seat of a Mini Cooper. Same if they were engaged. Ex. shortly after I got married, my ex went an a week long business trip. When she got back, I met her at the gate, gave her a big hug and kiss and got the heck out of there, took her home and had my way with her. I wasn't going to waste any time at the airport. And certainly not a parking lot. I've been around a lot of "hot and heavy" couples. Have been a member of a "hot and heavy" couple. But this was different. But hey, maybe some of you are right. Maybe they are a married couple that can't keep their hands off each other. Maybe they are trying to conceived their first child in the front seat of a Mini Cooper. Once we were driving around and we just got in the mood - (and couldn't go to our respective places because of roommate circumstance) so we ended up trespassing on some people's property and we we were all over each other and we had sex in the car. Was it class?- no, not the classiest thing ever, but we loved each other and there was so much lust and passion and it is one of my funniest, fondest memories of us - because it showed how full of passion for one another we were/are. We got busted when the people who own the property drove by us, (after we were done and we were just lying back in the glow of everything) and while I was mortified, and hurried into the front seat again, my boyfriend made sure to smile and wave to them as we drove by and off their property. So no, it's not "classy", but it was passion and it was love and it wasn't any kind of cheating. I think its sad that OP sees passion and thinks 'oh, they can't be married' - that's a sad testament to marriage/committed couples. 2 Link to post Share on other sites
