As he was driving me home, I see him digging in his pocket for something. I was wondering what the hell he was doing for so long. Then he grabbed my hand (yes, he was actually driving while doing this), pulled out the ring and said "So, you want to get hitched?" I said "yes" and then he asked, "Will you marry me?" and I accepted (duh). He then put the ring on my finger and we kissed and said we love each other. It was really cute. That was the last momment I would expect him to do it. It was very spontainious but the way he did it was romantic ( you had to be there). I'm still in shock! LOL! The ring is beautiful. It's a platinum band. The band is more like two bands coming together as one where the stone is. Then the setting that actually holds the stone is 18K gold. It's a one karat stone. Very pretty and unique. Tension set stone. We picked it out. So that's what happened. Didn't think it was going to happen. We're hoping for a Spring 2006 wedding. I gotta start saving every dime I have! No more shopping sprees! LOL! Kidding. ' Thanks for giving me support to get me through this time. I appreciate all your advice. I know that reception halls get booked sometimes 2 years in advance. I am from Long Island, so weddings are really big out here, therefore, places are booked real quick. Hopefully our parents will throw us an engagement party. That'll be fun! But I know that comes after a set date and who will attend the wedding. He's moving into an apartment this week, so that's a little celebration in itself. We're all so excited. Good luck with your wedding. I can't remember when you said it was??? But good luck!
