My ex made a fake girl id to contact me and be friends with me?

We now live in different cities but when it started we were at same location. Actually she dumped me when i did something wrong and it hurt her. She even blocked me on Facebook with all the contacts blocked. I apologized to her with 5 long messages but she stayed firm. She replied she never wants to be in contact with me again. I became angry and told if she doesn't want to contact i won't be contacting and won't come back to her life and bye bye forever.

After 4 months of no contact i send her an email telling i have moved on and i am happy for her or someone she finds in life and that is my last message from me. That was January 6.

3 days after i got a friend request on Facebook by an unknown girl which i accepted. I saw the profile was empty and was created on January 6 with no friends or updates or comments from anyone. I thought it can be the work of some of my friend maybe.

Then she started liking all my posts came to chat to and chatted like some girl and started commenting on my posts. Then we started talking or chatting through Facebook. But after chatting with her for sometime i realized that she accidentally revealed some details that made me wonder whether i know her or something. On further talk i thought i recognized her and told her i knew who she was. She was very defensive that i am mistaken or something. Then i checked the details provided on her account on Google and didn't find even one girl with those details.

I had a fight with her fake id and after a week she had to finally agree that the id belonged to her.

Things had gone different since then. And two weeks after that is yesterday i broke with her saying that she was playing games on me.

But still i am so confused. Why did she try so hard and chatted with me with fake id. She was the one who started conversation challenged me with constant questions and gave so much time like some new girl on the other side. Or did i do right by blocking her fake id and telling her not to contact with me again. I know i am messed up the situation but still.

 

actually after she admitted the it was her id we exchanged Facebook messages like friends. But then she started responding after taking lot of time. I too took time to respond to her messages but that made me angry on her which i expressed. Was she testing me before making more contact. I never had gone back to a relationships after breakups. But she actually made an good effort so i was thinking whether she liked me or i did right to fight again to block her. Just confused.

The moral of the story is:

never accept a 'friend' request from anyone you don't know.

if you haven't a clue - then more fool you.

 

Don't bother asking all the questions, and hoping to get the 'right' answers.

it doesn't work.

There are no logical, totally satisfactory answers.

Why did she try so hard and chatted with me with fake id.

She didn't know how to revert her decision after she made it final. Also, what did you do? What was the mistake you made? If it was her for real (there's no guarantee about that, but a good chance), I guess she was making sure about how you deal with girls, trying to figure out if you still thought of her. Maybe she was going to ask you questions about your love life...

Only if you hate her, in that case you did the right thing. Otherwise, you were just impulsive.
